Rio Way - Beach Hostel

Directions (how to arrive at the hostel):

For arrivals out of reception hours, customers have to pay a tax of R$ 50,00 for reception and must inform either by e-mail or phone at least one day before.
Credit Card security number (CVC2) must be supplied to guarantee booking, please sent it to Rio Way - Beach Hostel once the booking is made.

Getting to Rio Way- Beach Hostel by Plane / Bus / Van / Foot/ car
- By taxi or car: – If you come by car or taxi, put in the GPS the address 8196 Estrada do Pontal, Rio de Janeiro, Brasil then when you will arrive, you will see a turn right in 3W street and keep going for 100mts. You’ll see the sign on your right side “Rio Way”. This info is really important for the driver don’t be lost.
- From Novo Rio Bus Station: Take the Bus linea amarela # 315 -Recreio, or a white van to Praia do Recreio. Duration of bus ride: 1hr from station
 - From Copacabana, Ipanema, Leblon, Botafogo, Flamengo, Centro: Take Bus 360 – Recreio or a white van to Praia do Recreio. Duration of bus ride: 1-2hr from the city center.
When you arrive to the town of Recreio you will see the Recreio beach. As soon as you get on the Macumba beach (turn on the right) ask the driver to drop you off in front of the Protel Hotel. Then follow our directions from Estrada do Pontal by foot, noted below.
– From the Airports (GIG) and (SDU): Get the “Real” bus to Barra Shopping via “Linha Amarela” ($12.00 reais). Duration of bus ride: 1hr 30 min.
Get off at Barra Shopping and take another bus to Recreio (314, 315, 880 or 360 Recreio). When you arrive to the town of Recreio you will see the Recreio beach. As soon as you get on the Macumba beach (turn on the right) ask the driver to drop you off in front of the Protel Hotel. Then follow our directions from Estrada do Pontal by foot, noted below.

Directions by foot from the main beach road in Recreio, Estrada do Pontal : 2 minute walk
1 – You’re at the main road Estrada do Pontal (the main street parallel to the beach)
2- Go into the estreet (3W) across the “Protel Hotel”
3 – Walk down the 3W street for 100 mts
4 – Rio Way- Beach hostel is a yellow wall number 18. Press the doorbell to enter.
* Important note: Please look at the map below for visual directions and please take note of all the directions on how to arrive, because many streets don’t have proper road signs.
