About us
Bicycle Drive Inn is a German-owned, environment-friendly campsite surrounding by the unique karst landscape in Chao Yang Village, 4 KM from Yangshuo Town near Guilin, South China. We want to provide the bikers, hikers, backpackers, climbers and the other nature lovers a pleasant stay in the countryside, away from tourist masses and city noises.

Our location is in the quiet Chao Yang Village on the Yu Long River Bicycle Way. We are easy to access from town - just a 20 min bike ride on cement roads from West Street or Yangshuo Bus Station North. The campsite is only 200 meter to the swimming spot by Yu Long River. There are small supermarkets and groceries in our Chao Yang Village and a small market in Xia Tang Village (distance: 2 KM) where you can get fresh vegetables and meats.

Bicycle Drive Inn has 9 tent sites with great view. You can bring your own tent or rent the camping equipment from us for your outdoor experience. We are the first campsite in Yangshuo with services. Our friendly team speaks German, English, Spanish and Chinese.

The Panorama Café of BICYCLE DRIVE IN is a unique and relaxed eating experience. You can choose to enjoy the great panorama view at our Bicycle Drive In Parking Area without getting off your bike or sitting on our panorama terrace.

We serve coffee & tea (hot/iced), home-made ice cream, fresh baked European snacks & cakes, soft drinks, beer and a daily menu with traditional European foods.

Yangshuo is located in the south of China, in Guangxi province. Going to Yangshuo has been on the tourist itinerary for a long time, and for a lot of people it is one of the main reasons to come to China. The surrounding landscape has inspired generations of great Chinese painters and poets. The biggest city near Yangshuo is Guilin. Along the whole road from there to Yangshuo the fields are dotted with karst-mountains.

The Yu Long River (200 Meter away from BICYCLE DRIVE INN) is much smaller than the Li River and the only boats you will see there are the bamboo rafts which are powered by local farmers. Bicycle Drive Inn located on the Yu Long River Bicycle Way which leads to the Dragon Bridge or the Moon Hill / Big Banyan Tree alone the river. Just in front of Bicycle Drive Inn, the Bicycle Way goes through the peaceful Chao Yang Village with a dam road river crossing over the Yu Long River, where you can enjoy the rural landscape on your bike without traffic noise.

From International Airport Guilin to BICYCLE DRIVE INN: 80 KM
By Bus:
1. Take Airport Bus directly to Yangshuo Bus Station North (50 Yuan) at 10 am/12 pm/ 6 pm/ 8 pm. Then you can find a taxi (40 Yuan) or motorbike taxi (15-20 Yuan) to Chao Yang Village.
2. If you miss the direct bus to Yangshuo at the airport, then take the Guilin Airport Bus to Main Station Guilin (22 Yuan). There you can find local buses to Yangshuo Bus Station North(20 Yuan). Then find a taxi (40 Yuan) or motorbike taxi (15-20 Yuan) to Chao Yang Village.
Pick up Service:
3. We can arrange pick up from Airport Guilin to Chao Yang Village by private car for 290 Yuan (max. 4 persons) or 390 Yuan (5-8 persons). When the driver has to wait for more than 2 hours because your plane is delayed, then the additional fee is 20 Yuan (for a small car) or 30 Yuan (for a big car) per hour.

From Guilin Main Station to BICYCLE DRIVE INN: 65 KM
Pick up Service by private car:
250 Yuan (max. 4 persons) or 350 Yuan (5-8 persons).

Please note: Taxiprices will be raised by 40-50% around Chinese National holidays. BICYCLE DRIVE INN cannot be held responsible for any injury or damage related to you taking a taxi which we organized on your behalf.

Terms and conditions

- For your own safety, ID card or passport of every guest will be checked at check-in according to local regulation.
- Space for tent: price per night including a tent site for one tent up to 5 sq.m. An additional charge of 5 CNY for every additional sq.m will the applied, as our campground has limited tent sites. Use of WIFI, outdoor corner kitchen, WC and shower room is for free. There is a service charge for BBQ site.
- Price for tent rental including a 2-person-tent with tent light. The tent will be set up for you in advance. Sleeping bag(s) incl. cleaning charge after each use. Inflatable ground pad(s) incl. cleaning charge after each use. Use of WIFI, outdoor corner kitchen, WC and shower room is for free. There is a service charge for BBQ site.
