About us
The property is a historic building in the center of the Vedado neighborhood in Havana, built in the (1940's?) facing the emblematic Malecón de La Habana. The 5 floor building is an example the Art Deco style that defined Cuban architecture in the 40's. A famous episode from the history of the island the took place here in 1957. 'Humboldt 7' (the building's address) became one of the still standing symbols of Cuban Revolution.
Accommodation
The apartment is composed of a big living room with a dining area, two double rooms, one of them with a balcony with views towards the ocean, one shared bathroom and a big kitchen with a small service restroom. Both of the rooms are equipped with Air Conditioning and double beds, a safe and TV. The whole apartment is furnished with original Cuban furniture from the 40's-50's.
Surroundings
The building is situated in Havana's most famous neighbourhood right in front of el Malecon de la Habana, with views towards the ocean. El Malecon is a famous street that runs along the waterfront of the city and offers a big number of facilites and services. Some parts of the Malecon have a rich night life with several restaurants and bars. The builidng is 5 minutes from the Old Havana on taxi, and in general is located in a very walk-able area of the city where everything is pretty close.
