Casa Ulysses

Casa Ulysses was very expensive compared to what you could get in Habana. We paid a lot for the taxi to pick us up from the airport arranged by the agency, and when we asked the staff to book us a taxi for the following morning, they got one which overcharged us, totally unacceptable. Plus, the room was on the second floor which you can reach through an awfully dangerous staircase, especially if you're carrying big luggage cases. NOT RECOMMENDED

On the spot there was a lot of noise. The room does not have a fridge. In the end we were charged 5 CUC more for the currency exchange, which we did not do. We paid in local currency so there was no exchange difference. I did not think it was fair. They did not make it clear on the site that there would be an extra charge.

Very well located. Very friendly and helpful staff. Can be noisy at night as Habana Vieja is always very lively

Good location and nice casa. Staff very friendly but does not speak any English. Breakfast is $5 extra per person, which we weren't told in advance. Be aware that you have to pay the price in the local currency at the rate of the date you booked, not the day you actually pay! For us this made a difference of almost $20 for 4 nights.

Ulysses and staff are great from the breakfast to the location to just feeling welcome we already are looking forward to returning.

It was great place in heart of downtown. We had some little problem when we don't speak Spanish but anyway we liked to stay in this place.The balcony was nice to watch the street life and the people.

The casa is located really convenient and close to everywhere.

The owner is really kind and warm.

The location is perfect to visit the city, between old and new Havana. The room is quite cozy and clean.

Great place to stay, lovely staff and just a few minutes from the Calle Obispo. Rooms we're clean, good shower and a nice living room with balcony to relax. They offer a super delicious breakfast for 5 CUC. Nearest wireless internet hotspot within 5-10 minutes walk can be found at Bar Floridita, Florida Hotel (good choice) and Iberostar Parque Central. Would certainly book this place again!

We loved Ulysses so much that we stayed there again when we returned to Havana at the end of our trip. The house itself is perfectly located for the Old Town and the staff are so welcoming and friendly. Highly recommended if you want a relaxed, comfortable, friendly place to stay in the old town

Great Location, Great Place... You must be nimble getting up and down the narrow and steep curved stairway... Just a note of caution... Also was not happy with their "calculation" of what I owed at checkout - they overcharged me - but hey - its Cuba and that is part of the deal....

Great staff, wonderful mom and daughter takes care of the place and guests. Owner speaks english and very nice man. Perfect location !!
