About us
La Colonial 1861 offers our guests the experience of staying in an authentic colonial house. Our house is located in the central neighborhood of El Vedado with the amenities of a boutique hotel and the charm of a private home.

La Colonial was built in 1861 and maintains its original structure and mosaic floors. The roof was built with French tiles and our rooms have high ceilings with exposed wooden beams. Beautiful wrought-iron trellis sorround the well in the patio.

Dinner will be booked 24 hours in advance and it will be served between 19:00 PM and 22:00 PM. The price per meal is 10 CUC per person. Beverages are not included.

Surroundings

The area is very calm, and is very well communicated with various quick accesses (Malecón, Línea, 3ra y Calzada).

You can arrive in 15 minutes to Habana Vieja by colective cab for only 10 cuban pesos.

3 bloqs (150 meters) to Malecón.

Terms and conditions

Norms, obligations and services:

1. PERSONAL DATA & PRIVACY
The data our clients have registered with when booking is obligatory, except the email address. However, if you fill that out, we will maintain you informed about the activity of our establishment. We offer the maximum guarantee for the data protection but they may be given to the Security office of the state of the Republic of Cuba.

2. PRICE POLICY.
The daily price per room varies according to the season and there´s a discount to those guests remaining for longer than 15 days. The total price of the stay will be done in CUC upon arrival and except if the guest is seriously sick will the payment be returned.

3. CHECK IN AND CHECK OUT
Check in should be done after 14.00 (2 pm). The check out should be done prior to 12.00 and we will offer a free service for keeping your luggage. The guests must provide their passport and visa in order for us to keep the Cuban authorities informed and these documents will be returned to you the next day. The guest will also have to fill out and sign the Register book in order to register and make their stay legal.

4. HEALTH.
We would appreciate you let us know in advance about any illness, incapacity or allergy you may suffer from so that we can adapt to your circumstances and make your stay as comfortable as possible. If we don´t get that information in advance we cannot take responsibility for any issues that may arise due to that respect.

5. FOOD SERVICE
The food Service needs to be ordered 24 hours in advance and will be served between 20.00 (8 pm) – 22.00 (10 pm). Breakfast service needs to be ordered 12 hours before and will be served between 8 am – 10 am. The price per meal is 10 CUC/person not including beverages. Breakfast is 5 CUC/person.

6. MINI BAR.
The prices for the mini bar Service is found in each room, and payment will be done upon check out.

7. CLEANING SERVICE.
Cleaning is done on a daily basis. Changes of sheets and towels are done every other day, if requested.

8. ROOMS.
All the rooms have TV, air conditioning, fan and fridge. We ask you to kindly not leave any equipment turned on when not using the room. Hotel La Colonial 1861 is not responsible for damage to electronic equipment caused by incorrect power adaptors. Please note that voltage in Cuba is generally 110 volts and the U.S. two-prong, thin plug is standard.





9. INTERNET & TELEPHONE. Free internet is offered for 30 minutes/day (not accumulative). It is not possible to use this Service for longer and unfortunately we cannot provide longer paid usage. This service is available, depending on the availability of the internet room. The telephone service is free for phone calls within the province of La Habana. For calls outside this area, please consult with the personnel at the hotel.

10. LAUNDRY SERVICE. We offer laundry Service for 5 CUC per wash. Each wash should be 3 Kg or less. We also offer ironing Service at 1 CUC/garment. The guest should communicate the total number of garments they hand in. Garments will be returned 24-48 hours later. We do not take responsibility for any damage that may occur.

11. AIRPORT TRANSPORTATION.
We will be happy to organize transfer to and/or from the airport.

12. SECURITY
The hotel does not take responsibility for any loss or theft from the rooms. We therefore recommend that you deposit any valuables with the management, declaring the value at the same time.

13. UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES.
We do not accept responsibility nor pay any compensation for any loss, or damage caused by unforeseen circumstances. We consider Unforeseen Circumstances to be anything that could not be predicted or avoided, such as war threats, wars, public disturbances, terrorist acts, illnesses or epidemics, natural disasters, closing of airport or other transport means, state measures or other exceptional or similar problems.

14. COMPLAINTS.
We offer clients the possibility to register any complaint, and would like to ask you to please communicate us any incident prior to registering it in order to give us the possibility to solve it and in order to give you a satisfactory stay at our Hotel.

15. LEGAL RESPONSIBILITIES. The guest will have a key to the room and will be responsible for any costs that may occur due to the loss of the key. When the guest wishes to invite a friend or any type of relationship to our hotel this person should register in the register book (as per Cuban legislation) and it is not allowed to invite more people than the room´s capacity. Also, our guest will take complete responsibility for their guests’ actions towards the property, other guests and the personnel of the hotel, such as physical damage, theft, insults, bad conduct. The hotel will hold no responsibility for any issues related to guests of guests.
