Directions (how to arrive at the hostel):

Arriving by train:

You will be arriving at Lime Street Station, located in city centre of Liverpool.

You can tak a taxi, taxi ranks are located on both sides of the station, fare should be around GBP 5 by black cab, and about 3 by private hire cab.

If you wish to take a city bus, upon arrival exit the train and walk to your left off platform, out of the station towards the Crown Pub . Opposite the pub, you will see two bus shelters on Eliot Street next to St Johns Market. Cross at the lights (be careful crossing). Any 86 (A/C/D) or 80A bus can take you to the Embassie. Ask the driver to drop you off at the corner of Catharine Street and Canning Street. From this bus stop walk towards traffic lights then turn left in to Canning Street walk straight, which will bring you to Falkner square. The Embassie has a big red door which faces the phone box.

It takes about 20 minutes to walk from Lime Street Station to the Embassie. Upon arrival exit the train, walk to your left off the platform, out of the station towards The Crown Pub. Turn left on Lime street and follow through Renshaw Street. When you reach the top of Renshaw Street, you will notice St Lukes Church which was bombed during the war. Turn right onto Berry Street, walking past the shop named Richer Sounds and towards the arch, you are now walking through Chinatown, once you see the arch, take a left onto Upper Duke street and continue up past the beautiful Liverpool Anglican cathedral (the biggest single sited cathedral in the world). Now keep straight all the way to Falkner Square, crossing over Catharine Street at lights and continue onto Canning St again until you reach Falkner square. The Embassie is the building with the big red door which faces the phone box in the square.

Arriving by Plane:

From Liverpool airport, take the number 80 A or 86A bus and get off at the corner of Catharine and Canning Street. Turn left on Canning Street which will eventually become Falkner Square. The Embassie is the building with the big red door which faces the phone box in the square .

Arriving By Coach:

Your National Express coach will arrive at Norton Street Station. We might suggest a taxi from the coach station. The fare should not exceed £5. You can certainly walk to the Embassie from here,

This is about a 20 minute walk to the Embassie. Ask at the desk for one of our flyers, which has a very helpful detailed map on the back. Walk down Norton Street and cross London Road. The road you are on at that time will change names a couple of times (from Norton Street it becomes Seymour Street, then Russell Street, then Clarence Street, then Rodney Street). On the end of Rodney Street take a left on to Upper Duke street and continue up past the beautiful Liverpool Anglican cathedral (the biggest single sited cathedral in the world). You now keep straight all the way up Canning Street, crossing over Catharine Street and back on to Canning Street again until you enter into Falkner Square, the Embassie is the building with the big red door which faces the phone box in the square.
