Igloo Backpackers Hostel

Directions (how to arrive at the hostel):

The Igloo is located in the northern quarter of the city centre, 8-10 minutes walk from Market Square where you will also find the Skylink bus stop arriving from East Midlands Airport.
From the stations walk to the Tourism Information Centre on Market Square (see city maps on the station walls) and when standing outside the doors at the Information Centre turn right.
Take the first left (Clumber Street) and keep walking straight ahead past the Victoria Centre (Milton Street) staying on your right. Walk past the Clock Tower and walk through 3 sets of lights. This main road is Mansfield Road.We are on the next corner on you right hand side diagonally opposite the Golden Fleece pub.
Entry to the Igloo is through a red gate to the front door facing the side street (Fulforth Street).
From the station it is a 18-20 min walk.

If you have lots of luggage you can catch a tram from the train station (£1.50) and get off at the 3rd stop by the Theatre Royal.
Walk around the theater to South Sherwood Street past the Royal Concert Hall and Trent University. At the crossing keep walking straight ahead onto North Sherwood Street and follow this road for 2 minutes taking a left at Peel Street. Where Peel Street meets Mansfield Road, you will find us on the corner diagonally opposite the Golden Fleece pub. Entry is on the side of the building.

Taxis from the stations should cost around £4.50.
