Octopus Resort is a stunning hotel in the beautiful Waya Island (Yasawa Islands) which enjoys a spectacular mix of people. We have beautiful dorms and cheap bungalows, or we have traditional bures and premium accommodation.

Over the last 15 years, we have established an incredible atmosphere. The mix of friendly locals, excellent food and stunning surroundings for just a little bit more mean that most backpackers who come here extend their stay.

Our air-conditioned dorms only have single beds (no bunk beds) or are en suite traditional bures for up to four people. Each bed has a personal reading lamp, fresh clean towels every day, endless hot water and mosquito nets. We treat our backpackers with the respect and comforts they deserve.

Breakfast includes the freshest and juiciest seasonal fruit, toast and preserves, cereals, tea, Fiji coffee, delicious home baking and the hugely popular build your own omelette bar. Lunch is a la carte and offers a fantastic mix of traditional Fijian and western food. Dinner is always three course – we’ll either treat you to a stunning set menu or let you pick and choose your own main course from eight or nine dishes on your table. Enjoy as much as you like.

The sunset-facing beach has been voted in the world’s top 10, and the unspoilt island has many adventures and villages to discover. We are delighted to be the only resort on the island.

Watch movies under the stars around our beautiful swimming pool or join in our quiz night, beach party night, bonfires, traditional Fijian nights, volleyball games… or disappear into a hammock a book or a cocktail. We have pristine reefs and 30+ dive sites which our dive boat visits.
