Directions (how to arrive at the hostel):

Directions As you are travelling towards Chamonix on the A40 (Autoroute Blanche), the road climbs up towards the mountains, you will drive up a massive viaduct which rises above the valley floor. PLEASE CALL YOUR AWA BIGFOOT REP ON 0033 (0) 6 03 64 85 83 AT THIS POINT (PLEASE NOTE THIS NUMBER IS FOR ARRIVALS ONLY).

Also, please contact us if your arrival to resort is delayed for any reason (e.g. delayed or cancelled flight or ferry, heavy traffic) This will indicate to us that you are 25 minutes from the chalet. This allows us to have a staff member waiting for you on arrival.

IMPORTANT – OFFICE/CHALET HOURS - Please understand that unfortunately the chalet cannot be staffed at all times, so we must make it very clear that a greeted check-in is NOT possible after 18.00 hours.If you will be arriving later than this then please let us know so we can arrange instructions for you to get into the chalet and your room. We will also require the first night to be paid prior to arrival.

DirectionsIf you are picking up a hire car from Geneva Airport you will be coming out of the Swiss / International side. Follow signs to France going through customs, then to the ‘Tunnel du Mont Blanc’ on the A40 straight to the Chamonix valley. About an hour into your journey the road starts to climb steeply up towards the mountains, you will be on a viaduct (road on stilts). Continue along this road passing through two tunnels. There are a number of road works occurring along the valley this season therefore please loo out for signs to Chamonix. Follow the road signs to Chamonix. From Chamonix, continue driving up through the valley past the villages of Le Praz du Chamonix, Le Tines and Le Levancher until you reach the village of Argentiere. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit on the right into Les Grand Montet car park. Drive past the Hotel Grand Montets then take your first right into Chemin des Cartons. Drive past the residence Le Vert and turn into the first driveway on your left. There are two chalets here in front of you, Hideaway two is the chalet 25 meters in front of you on the right-number 119 Chemin des Carterons. The chalet has two parking spaces reserved for guests, directly in front of the property.
