The Chalet Orée du Bois 5 bed and breakfasts are located 800m from Les Houches village and 2,5 km from Chamonix town. It is ideal as in the summer as in the winter for all the different activities. Bus stop for a free shuttle bus is only 150m away. The train station of Taconnaz, for a panoramic train that connects le Fayet, Chamonix, Argentiere and Vallorcine, is only 50 meters away, and with the Carte d'Hote , the train is free of charge.
