The hygienic condition of the place is really far from being satisfactory. The room looked ok at the first glance, but actually was full of dust and strange hairs spread everywhere. Needless to mention bathrooms' poor cleanliness level. The metro station is relatively close but the place itself is located in the Paris zone 4, which means the metro ticket price in one direction is 4 eur instead of 1.7 eur which applies to only first 3 zones.

I've gone to dozens of hostels during 3 summers in europe, and I found Greenhill to by by far the most generous. If you go, talk to the owner, he is very helpful.

This hostel felt more like living in a nice big apartment with some other people. It was really good, we really enjoyed our stay here. It was mostly quite clean, the staff were very helpful and accommodating, the beds were very comfy and the price was definitely right. On top of all of this, breakfast was included! Any budget traveler knows free food is key in picking accommodation. Lastly, the location was far from terrible. No, it wasn't in the city centre. However, it was literally around the corner from the RER (subway) station which got you to some of the main sights in 20 minutes, and there's also a cheap supermarket right around the corner. Overall, I would definitely recommend this :)

Bathrooms were dirty, hard to get in contact with staff. Bad location, can't go out at night, unclear rules and expectations of guests. Had good beds, tv, kitchen.

Actually I didn't expect really much from the cleanness in the hostel, but I really have to admit that my friend and I were disappointed. Apart from the bedroom the other rooms like kitchen and bathrooms were pretty horrible in the matter of mildew and so on. Concerning the position it is quite easy to get to paris (ca. 30 min). The host is very kind and knows much about paris' sights but to lonely girls he behaves a little bit strange...

nice staff, clean bathroom. beds are so comfortable.a bit far from city center. but it is not a big problem. you can reach the hostel in 20 minutes by metro from the centre. huge free spaces in rooms. there is no locker. but no need to lockers. because everything is in secure in this hostel. I advice.

It was a great stay, very clean and hospitable staff. It's quite far from the center but no too far, with a 7 day unlimited pass you'll be able to get around with no worries. Enjoy your stay. Ciao.

Though the hostel is a little bit far from down town, it is cheap. Also, it is confortable and clean. The best thing is breakfast included!!!! For backpackers or people who don't have so much budget, it is the best choice.

This is quite a great hostel! It is clean, and the living room area is very nice. Great kitchen as well, and it is really easy to meet people since it is small. The RER line is super close, and it will not take more than 20 or so minutes to get into the city. Pierre is a super nice guy as well.

Good Hostel. The guy who runs it is really friendly and professional. The showers are a bit dirty and the position seems far from Central Paris, but it's not that bad. All-in-all a good stay. I would recommend this place.

Pierre is absolutely great, the kitchen is always full of food, and the overall feeling in the hostel is very nice and cozy. It's a bit far from the centre, but is very well connected with metros. We had a great time and would definitly come back!

Very nice and helpfull staff. More or less clean bathroom and toilet. Good location - 25 minutes from center by RER. Breakfast were not so good, everyone just took what was in the fridge. But at this time, there was almost nothing...

An exceptional stay! Spacious, clean, quiet, with great amenities (kitchen access, communal breakfast food, wifi, a TV). And Pierre was an *amazing* host! The only downside, perhaps, is that there is a 15-minute or so subway ride to Paris. But we didn't find this to be a big problem. A tradeoff for peace and quiet (and price!)

This hostel is for those who wants to rest calmly. It is situated nearby the green park. A big advantage of this hostel is cheapness and free breakfast so in this case you can save money. But the other thing is that it is situated outside of Paris so you have to pay additional money for tickets. If you´ll buy the metro´s and RER´s pass for three days, don´t worry.

Greenhill locates just nearby the Noisy-Champ, which is at A line of RER, and the breakfast offering as well as kitchen equipped was really nice.;) But there is only one toilet, so sometimes you have to wait for others~

Wonderful host, helped us work out what to do to make the most of our time in Paris. Good to have cooking facilities and a supermarket right around te corner. Location is fine as the train station is 2 minutes walk away. Free breakfast of chocolate croissants was a great start to the day.

the most comfortable hostel ever! it's very clean and spacious, and the bed is comfortable. they actually have a big balcony where you can enjoy some fresh air and really feel like a paris resident in the residential area... this is the first time I feel "at home", though they don't put it on their ads as others do!

Pierre gave his best to make us enjoy our time in his hostel. He gave us great insidertips and he knows really everything you want to know about Paris. It was like a flat with flatmates and we enjoyed the feel-like-at-home-atmosphere.

Near the hostel are a lot of shops so we never had to walk a long time for organizing some food.

The hostel was actually very clean, espacially the bedroom we had, but the bathroom and the sink would be happy to get a efficient cleaning.

This hostel is very comfortable, clean and the price is reasonable. It includes a variety of delicious breakfasts and it´s very close to the train station. From this hostel is very easy to go anywhere you want. Furthermore, the owner, Monsieur Pierre, is a wonderful person who helped me a lot. He knows everything about Paris and he takes the time to give to his customers all the necessary information. There is wireless internet which is very fast, it works all day long and the best thing of all “IS FREE”. There is TV with cable and hot water too. I met people from all around the world. My experience in this hostel was 100% good and I totally recommend it.

This is one of the best hostels I've ever stayed at :) Might seem far from the centre but it's just 30 mins by RER, and it's definitely worth it - the atmosphere at this place is unbelievably friendly, mostly thanks to Pierre, the owner! He's not just friendly and welcoming but also very helpful, and I'm definitely be going back to GreenHill next time I'm in Paris :)

The hostel itself is decent and well worth the money. The location is not ideal but you are only a short walk to the metro station. It takes around 30 minutes to go to Paris. Your experience may vary, depending whether you are staying in the apartment or the house (we stayed in both). The apartment was a bit crowded and not very clean. However, staying at the house was an absolute pleasure; it was as if we were staying with a host family! The hostel owner is extremely nice and helpful, and frequently organizes group events.

Really great atmosphere, you feel like youre home. Theres juice milk, bread, and things for breakfast for free. ther is wi-fi as well.

The only problem is that its like 20 or 15 minutes away from paris. (by metro)

The atmosphere is mostly great because of the people you meet there. Also, there is many choices of breakfast and if you're very hungry during the day you can eat some bits if you don't have money to eat outside. The bathrooms are a bit scrumpy, but the landlord is very nice!

Its a little bit of a metro ride from the center of paris but it was fairly easy to get to and the owner Pierre was very nice to all of us there. Even though its far its nice cause its more spacious and quieter, its more like an apartment and the kitchen and washing machine are free use. As for the people i guess it really depends on what kind of people you go with?
