Bastille Hostel

If you have hostel expectations, you won't be disappointed. Ideal for young travelers who aren't looking for comfort. It's absurd that you don't provide a towel except for a rental fee.

Only stay in this hostel if you want a dorm bed. If you want a nice double room look elsewhere. We had a staff member enter our room when we were sleeping and tell us we had to leave in the day and only return after 3 pm. flooding in bathroom. Bunkbed in room, which moved constantly. Breakfast is included but only from 7-9 am. Near metro stop, 10 minute walk to Bastille. Elevator/lift unavailable. Would not stay again.

It is a friendly clean hostel. Only the coffee is nearly undrinkable.

Room was super-clean, but shared toilet was out of order, other toilet disgusting. Long queues at the reception, but staff seemed friendly. Location is really nice!

Very good location in Paris. Friendly staff but lack of coordination sometimes. Simple breakfast included. Cheap accommodation for a couple of nights in the capital city.

I'ts a nice hostel close to the bastille metro. If you plan a city trip to Paris I strongly recommend it.

Attention:The Bastille Hostel takes guets only up to 30 years. Our room was clean but the bathroom was on another floor and not clean and did not have a sink to wash your hands. the shower inside our two bed room left the room very moist. Breakfast is included in price though quite little.(1 bread, 1 orange juice, 1 hot beverage, butter and jam as well as a madeleine[a typical french sweet pastry]) You can buy additional bread, coffe and so on.

The journey to the Hostel isn't so well described, so you better look it up on your map/ navigation device. The main doors are not locked, but the rooms seem to have good locks.you can check in very late since it's 24hours open reception.

Top place, close to cool area and transport, staff friendly and welcoming, quiet and tidy!! Nice stay!!!! thanks !!!!

We had booked online but it didn't actually create a reservation. Thankful,y they were able to find space for us in a private room the 1st night and a dorm room the 2nd night. The showers were tiny and a little scary. Our sink leaked in our private room and we had no water for awhile in our dorm. It was crowded and the Internet didn't always work. I wouldn't recommend this place.

Nice people and nice place

Stay 2 nights of Bastille hostel was pleasant experience. The first night when We stayed at hostel , they closed water during the night and We couldn't take shower which was really horrible. All the toilet couldn't have water and make smelly.

Hostel only offered wifi from 7:00 am to 23:30pm which is super annoyed for people who came back hostel late.

About the offering breakfast , the bread was really bad and it closed breakfast bar very fast. It is difficult for people to have public place to sit down and relax cause everyone needs to move during the cleaning hours.

As my experience, I will totally not recommend to stay in Bastille hostel during the to stay in Paris.

Came away from Bastille hostel with flea bites. Enough said!

Great place. Clean and organized. I recommend it.

Very unpleasant experience. If you think of going to Paris and get know the Paris night life, forget this hotel. I went to a bar and I arrived at the hotel at 8 am and fell sleep at 10 am. At eleven o'clock I was woke up by a person inside my room saying I would have to leave because between 11 am and 3 pm EVERYBODY has to leave the rooms. Romms that we paid for. They said that this is the rule of the hotel. Okay, but this has to be very clear before a person makes the reservation. I just had to go to another hotel and pay for one day in order to sleep.

good location. it is convenient to walk to the Bastille square and it is near to the Metro. The breakfast is good enough. The staff there is sympa.

It was really a great hostel. My friend and I stayed there just for one night. Everything was clean, the staff was friendly and also the breakfast was ok. I really recommend it. I will visit this hostel in the future!

This place was OK, friendly staff (except for the cleaning maid), wi-fi, nice location, reasonable prices. BUT shower is separated from the beds with just a tiny curtain (bye-bye to any kind of privacy), poor breakfast and NO hairdryers available. + it is inconvenient to be kicked out at 11 with no possibility to come inside your room until 3 p.m. - how the hell can cleaning take so much time?

It´s an excellent Hostel looks like a hotel, the treatment was the best during my staying in others Hostels, i like the rooms and they give a comfortable time and nice and delicious breakfast. :)

The probleme that I find is that you don't know where the toilets are, because nobody told you and there are not so easy to identified where they are. But at the end is a very easy problem to solve by yourself.

Good and clean place to stay - however, if you are travelling alone and want to meet same minded persons, be aware of the fact that there is almost no social space and the "kitchen" consists only of one (!) microwave - so I alsco can´t recommend Bastille for self-catering travellers. Breakfast is very basic, Internet only from 12:00 to 23:00, but if you just want a clean, safe and central place to spend the nights, you´re just right here. Besides, staff is friendly and helpful.

Really reconsider yourself if u would like to stay here. My computer is lost in the hostel luggage room. Then i finally got to know that no camera is working here. a hostel with no measure of surveillance at all!!! when i tried to negociate with the personnel, he takes all the responsibility of his shoulder, not even let me talk. Caution my friends from outside France, you will not be equally treated here.

nice hostel if you want to use it exactly as hostel. But private room without any toilet on floor, only near kitchen. And they have a strict rule - you have to leave room since 11am till 3pm. Good: they have lugguge room, even you already did check-out

i stayed in private room. it was very nice. but one thing i didn't like was noisiness. there was a little bit noisy outside but it is durable. Except that, other things are great. you better stay here!! you can use free wifi from 4pm to 11pm!! and staff was very friendly. i will really like it!

Something I really don`t like is, everyday my family and I have to pack my luggage and put them in basement, the staff changed my room everyday. It was bothered me very much. I`ve booked already 46 days before my arriving.

Very nice rooms with en-suite sink and shower. Great view of the street, decently close to the metro. Wifi access in lobby only from 4pm-11pm and no access anywhere else in hostel. VERY CLEAN.

It's not so fancy but enough for sleep and cleaness. I did not like the shower kept out of the shower curtain.

It was a clean and located centerally. Toilets and rooms were cleaned everyday. Only problem was; hot water can be clipped during your bath suddenly

Hostel is close to metro that you can go there in 5 minutes on foot.Room has adjustable temperature control.There is hot water also.Everything is fine except the breakfast.I was deeply shocked because they just offer a cup of tea, bread and jam(just one for each table).

Nearby the tube, clean, 24h entrance. No toilet on every floor but that was ok.

overall: price quality was very good. only the chocolate and coffee during breakfast were horrible.

About the price it was all good. The think that the internet is not in the room and it is only after 4 o'clock in tha main entrance was not so beautiful, but i recomand this hotel for them wich want to pass a beautiful holiday with the lowest price.

The hostel was fine but the breakfast was scarce, everyday was the same and no variety.

For some, this hostel maybe a bit basic but at a very reasonable price, Bastille Hostel is a really good/economical place to stay in Paris. I would definitely return. Opposite a cafe, close to a supermarket and the metro 5mins away; what else do you need?

A decent hostel in a good location in the center of Paris (10 min on foot from the Metro line 1). Low price. No frils.

The room was clean. The toilet which was share too. But the shower in the room was not clean. The hostel is near metro station which is really good. The receptionists can talk english well. The rule that you have to leave the room from 11till 16 is bad but it depends on ur plan. At totall I recommend this hostel, I had good time there.

I stayed there for one night. Very good for the price, considering also that is quite well located (just 10 min walk from La Bastille). However, there are many silly rules that for a longer stay may be annoying.

We had a great time in paris. The hostel is near metro station, supermarket, pubs, etc. Staff is very funny, all of them speak english. Room is everyday very clean and tidy. We also had a breakfast (coffee, milk, tea and baguette with butter and jam). We were in hostel for 5days and we really liked it! If i will go in Paris again, i will go in Bastille Hostel! Definately!

Good hostel. Cheap and well located.

nice and friendy staff, clean and well located. one bedsheet is missing (the one for the blanket) and is provided against a surcharge of 2 euros. But blanket seemed pretty clean and can be used without the sheet. clean and strong shower with stable hot water supply. breakfast is not even basic, bread/butter/one type of cheap jam/aweful coffee. i wouldn't bother having it there.
