Overall very decent accommodation. Lady at the reception was very polite although she doesn't speak English (but she speaks French, Italian, Spanish! :-)) Distance from metro is literally 10 meters. There is no free Wi-fi but you can purchase per hour or go to McDonalds (next door) and surf for free ;-)

Really helpful staff! Old building but very clean. Located in the ugly, dodgy part of Paris but very easy to get to all the good stuff by either walking along the canal, metro or taxi.

Very helpful and friendly staff. The hotel locate just right at the station with lift. The hotel is clean too. Internet access not very convenient there.

The owners are really friendly, Carmen speaks spanish, the rooms are comfortables, the only problem is that you can hear what happens in the room next door, I heard a couple having sex.

If you stay at this hotel avoid going out at night, there are to many homeless in the area, during the day it's quiet and safe.

It's a good walue for price ! Certainly worth price you pay for it. For Us the most important advantages were localization and cleanness. In fact it's a bit too loudly (we had windows opposite to the metro station) but it was annoying only with open windows.

Next to the hotel are 2 different subway stations, so the communication with the city is very well

It's RIGHT across the street from the metro and close to two major train stations. It's far from fancy, but very clean and the staff people were kind (but I don't spoke English). Worst things: gave us only a little toilet paper; older receptionist had difficulty hearing; some unavoidable steps AND an elevator that sometimes doesn't work. Would recommend / stay again.

really enjoyed stay there - right in front of metro, easy to reach center, and especially enjoyed the view of Sacre Coeur and the Tour Eiffel. though the interior is not of the freshest design...

Excellent hotel for this price. The metro station is practically 10m away. McDonald's is next door and you have free wifi there. The staff are pleasant and there is no curfew so you can come an go as you please. It's also very clean they changed our sheets, towels, etc. every day! The rooms, bed and shower are comfortable + TV.

Bad sides: Hotel wifi is too expensive, no mini fridge.

This is a very loud hotel because of the street noise. The Metro 2 line is above ground and across the street from the hotel. The street traffic going by is also extremely busy and loud. Earplugs recommended. The staff speaks french and Italian only. Otherwise a reasonable value hotel.

The hotel is managed by a cute elder couple, very family style and quite nice. They were helpful in practically everything I asked for, even let me check out at 2 pm on Saturday afternoon. Cleanliness and attitude are definitely the strongest point, the biggest drawbacks, however, are quite shqbby rooms, bad shower and very hard worn out towels.

Right across from the metro (and a day pass is only around 6 euro). Staff is very friendly. Rooms are nice and comfortable. You can leave your key with the reception which is 24 hours. Overall we had a great stay.

Good things: The hotel is 7-floor building on a metro station (this is very useful).Next to the hotel there are McDonald's and some Turkish restaurants, which are good too. The rooms are clean, not very good furnished but very n ice for the price. It is not so noisy as it`s written in most of the comments (but mind that our room was looking into the inner yard).

Bad things: THE STAFF DO NOT SPEAK ENGLISH AT ALL!!! Mind that, take a vocabulary if you don`t know French.Other very inconvenient thing is that the 4-bed room is actually a 2-bedroom room, and this is not written in the hotel description! There is no internet -access in the lobby, if you have your own notebook, there is a computer where you can pay and use internet.

pros:

location isn't bad (right next to a subway station), staff was nice;

cons:

The room is ugly as hell, furniture is really old, there's no AC and the area is noisy.

If you're on a budget and can't find something better, I guess you can go with this one. Keep your expectations low.

The rooms which were next to a street were really noisy: cars and metro going just next to the building. The atmosphere is much better if you get room from some other side of the building than next to the street. The good thing in the rooms located higher is that you can see the Eiffel tower:)

It was nice place to stay except the fact that rooms facing main street are too noisy because of the metro station and laso staff could not speak english but they are kind and ready to help.

It is a nice hotel. Not luxury, but it justifies the price. It is close to the metro station and close to a night bus station, so it is very convenient. The room was nice and clean.

Location is excelent, we had the roof top room, 83 witch had a small balcony! you could even see the top of the eifel tower but only a small part of it. Right in front of the metro station JAURES, near many food options and prety quick to get to all the basic attractions of paris! Good price, But make sure you confirm your reservation by phone also before you arrive!!!

We would definately recomend it to someone! Cheers from greece! Dimitris - Niki

For the price, the hotel was great. The owners are so sweet and friendly, and speak French and Spanish. The room was small and the decor a bit outdated, but was clean and had all of the ammenities we needed. The hotel is not downtown, but is conveniently located right outside of a metro stop with three lines. Would definitely stay here again in Paris, as it is hard to beat the price for the quality.

Room was clean, not beautiful, but considering the price it was good. It's located close to the Gare du Nord, so not too close to the center, but taking the metro this is not a big deal either. Our room did not face the street, so noise from outside was definitely not a problem. However, due to the price the hotel is booked by many young people as well and rooms are not insulated very well, so unfortunately, one can hear talking from other rooms quite well. The first night, there were people in two different rooms who were really loud, but both of them calmed down aftr we complained to them. Therefore, I can't say anything about the staff's reaction to that, since we did not complain to any staff members. The second night, there were none of those problems

I rented a room for 3 persons and the extra bed was even worse then the main bed. The blankets and pillows were terrible as well. And the smell of the bedroom was of a wet carpet. I plan to look for a better hotel when going to Paris again, definitely.

Perfectly situated right next to the metro. Don't expect any luxury, but it's clean at least. The staff don't speak english AT ALL, like most of the french, but they are very nice and friendly.

This hostel is pretty great if you want just a place to sleep and have a bath, although there is a busy avenue nearby. The owners don't speek a word of english, but really helpful and nice. Location is great, but breakfast costs 6 euros per person (not obligatory) and if you pay by credit card there is 2 euros tax per person per night!!!
