We stayed one night there and did not have any problems. The place could be cleaner, but is okay for what you pay. One of the staff members is an elder guy who does not speak English, so if you don't have at least basic French knowledge it could be a problem for you.

We would go back to the hostel since it is cheap and safe.

We were very scared before our arrival becouse of many bad ratings here but for all the week we stayed, we were satisfied. The staff didn´t speak English but they all were very kind and did not hesitate to help us with our luggage to the 5th floor (no elevator is available) The room is very modest with average cleanliness and with just a little wardrobe for your clothes. But we had a private shower in our room what we appreciated.

Next to hotel is a lot of bars and restaurants and even it´s very close to mosque we didn´t feel uncomfortable there, so don´t care about rumor about some "muslim ghetto" It´s not true.

The hotel is very near to supermarket, 3 different metro stations, so you won´t have problem to get wherever you want.

So, the hotel is nothing luxury, it´s nothing for spoiled princess but if you can´t spent more money for accomodation, I thing it will be good choice.

It's a nice place with good location, 2 blocks from the metro station and the surrounding there are supermarkets, bars and restaurants.

The rooms are clean, the only downside is that there is no elevator.

The staff is very friendly and helpful, adhere 3 people of which one man who only speaks French but the other two speak English

I recommend it 100% and of course back again.

Sweet little hotel. The owners were very kind and helpful, only speaking Frech, didn't matter to us.

Very nice position, with metro stations located close to it, and a lot of nice cafées, restaurant etc. near by. WE LOVED IT

I was looking for a private cheap accomodation and I found this place to be simple but good. The staff were nice and friendly, the rooms were modest but cleaned every day. I also liked the area, there are many bars and restaurants for locals and there are a couple of metro stations close from it.

It was good for the price since the prices in Paris are very expensive. It is a little jaunt on the Metro to get to the attractions in Paris. It takes about 30 minutes on the Metro to get to most attractions.

Nice place for a 1 star hotel. Near 3 metro stations and plenty of bars, restaurants, cafes, grocerie store...

No fun or atmosphere obviously (it's a small hotel). Ok for the price

a small budget hotel in a decent area of the city, plenty of bars and cafes around. also a supermarket is just down the street. no wifi access in the hotel, but you can go to a bar next door to surf the internet. you must climb a staircase to get to the rooms, no lift. rooms are quite small, that's how it goes in paris i guess - nice and tight.

The hostal is good if you are looking just for a bed to sleep. A bit far from the center but is a really good choice.

The owner was very friendly. We had a shower&toilet in our room, even though we only paid for a room with a bed. It wasn't really clean, but the bed was comfortable. It's quite far away from the center, but we felt safe in this area.

Hello,

One important thing is your room position. We should take 79 steps to reach to the room. Staff was realy nice but during the day he could not speak english but any how body language works well. We didnot used towels they were old, if u r too clean bring your own towel. The building was old but redecorated. Position is good and in a safe area and is good for muslems because they can find halal foods everywhere.

We were a bit scared to go to this hotel after having read all the negative reviews, but we were surprised to find our room quite nice and clean. Of course it is very basic, but you have all you need: towels and linen, shower and toilet, mirrow, wardrode etc. I suppose the level is not higher than in a hostel but at least you get privacy and decent place to sleep. The staff are friendly as well. The neibourhood is ok, thuogh if you go from Couronnes metro station you pass by a muslim quartier, so we prefered Goncourt the way to which seems quite safe and nice. Overall, the hotel was better than we expected.

Old and dirty, but about as cheap as you can get without it being a hole for prostitutes. The guys who ran the place were really friendly and helpful. The neighborhood was shady but it didn't seem particularly dangerous. Overall, if you don't mind a bit of grime, it's a cheap alternative.

For 27EUR/day per person here you get what you paid for. Room was clean enough, but since we expected the worst, we brought our sheets, and used them instead. Bathroom was very clean with warm water all the time and staff was very pleasant, although we didn't ask for anything. On internet it said room would be with a fridge, but it didn't. Also there was very little place to put our clothing. Overall we were satisfied with our stay there.

The problem was mainly that the room was fairly cold. Otherwise it was pleasant, a small but cosy and clean room, and close enough to central Paris to be able to walk there, if you arem't too much in a hurry (we walked everywhere and found it very enjoyable)

The only problem of the hotel is the fact that the building is old, especially in the inside.

We enjoyed it.

Hotel was all right, unfortunately only one Person knew English.

Hotel was cleaned and wasn't to noisy.

Quarter is far from show-places and a little unclean.

information on the site is not accordant with the truth. there's not fifteen minutes to Eiffel Tower. and you will not receive city card. the shower in the room stinks. only half of staff speak english. but the neighborhood is ok.

very noisy during night. cars and motorcycles were passing by like every minute, especially on Saturday night. The window/wall is not sound proof. Not a good place for more-than-two-day stay.

First of all, I have to say that price is really low, so you have to count with this. Room could be cleaner, but there was no a big mess or something like that, it was okay. Staff was great, very nice and helpful. Location is close to three metro station close to center. I recommend this hotel.

I arrived with my two tiered kids hours before planned, and the staff got out of their way to hurry up making our room ready. Fine service, kind and friendly tone, good exercise up the stairs ;) to our 3-bed room with tv, shower, clean sheeds and towels - wake-up service in the morning... Absolutely fine for the prize!

One of the staff does not know english at all. You are lucky if he is not there at the moment you need to ask something. The stairs and corridors are really dirty but the room with two beds was ok. The hotel is in a Muslim part of the city and is far from the touristy places but the metro stations are close enough.

Fine hotel, but when we arrive, the hotel was **full*, they simply "forget" of our reservation. The manager looked for another hotel where we spent that night, as our room should be empty in the next day. So they find an horrible hotel without toillets, but we didn't pay that day, only the remaining days. But the staff was fine in dealing with this problem, and tried to solve this being helpful and nice to us.

Ideal Hotel Paris is a nice, little hotel. Most of the kind staff does not speak English, but that is not an obstacle. During my stay, the stairway was under renovation (apr., 2009). It is quite far from the center of the city, but the hotel is quite close to three metrostations.
