About the property

The hostel was opened in May of 2017 and is run by a family: mother and daughter. After having spent 15 years working in the humanitarian sector across the world, Shakhnoza called her daughter to say that she decided to start a hostel in Tbilisi. So, Ksenia collected all her belongings in Prague, where she lived at the time, and arrived to Tbilisi to join her mother. Accommodation

The hostel consists of 5 rooms: 3 privates, and 2 dorm rooms. All rooms share two bathrooms (one downstairs, and one upstairs). All private rooms include bed linen and towels, a cooling fan, a bed side table, a lamp, a small carpet, and a stand with mirror/clothes hanger.
The two identical dorm rooms consist of 3 bunk beds and can host up to 6 people each. The dorms include: bed linen and towels, individual reading lights by each bed, electric plugs by each bed, small individual fans, and locke


Common areas, services and activities

Our facilities include a fully equipped kitchen with free tea and coffee at our guest's disposal. Apart from that, we have free high speed WiFi with two routers to ensure good coverage across the facilities, lockers in dorm rooms as well as individual reading lights and small fans. In addition, we have a lounge/social area with couches for our guests to rest and meet other travelers as well as locals.


Surroundings

Backpackers Hostel is situated just 400m off Liberty (Freedom Square), in the heart of Old Tbilisi District (Sololaki). Most main sightseeing spots are located either a short 10-15 minute walk away (including the Narikala Castle, Meidan, Botanical Garden, Sulphur Baths, Art Museum of Georgia, as well as the main Rustaveli Avenue), or a short metro ride away. The central location of the hostel allows for easy access to the rest of the city by metro, bus, or minibus.
