Was hoping to stay at the Bayreuth Hostel and paid my deposit for the period 10 - 12 August BUT the hostel was not in operation due to structural issues after a water leak. My deposit was not returned; I was fortunate to find an airbnb in the town. NOT VERY GOOD PR FOR THE HOSTEL. Clive Peacock, Kenilworth, England.

Very cheap (for the region of Bavaria), the bathrooms are always clean, the breakfast is fine and the staff is always helpful when solicited. Unfortunately, the wi-fi signal does not reach the bedrooms, being necessary to go to the lobby to access internet and there is only one electrical outlet for a six persons bedroom. Even so, it is perfect for who needs to spend some days doing activities in the university.
