It was one of my best experiences in hostels, the staff was friendly and helpful. The Place is really well located, in the old town, which made everything easy.

I spent a very good 5 days at the Rethymno youth hostel. I would like to thanks Ivan, the manager of the hostel, as well as Milena, for their kindness! Besides, it's very well located. Last but not least, the place is cleaned everyday. Definitely a good adress!!!

I stayed there for a week and it was perfect and Ivan who works there is fantastic!! I wonder if you can get more service minded? It's also a great place to stay at if you're, like me traveling alone because it's so easy meeting people to hang out with at Rethymno Youth Hostel!

This was a fun little hostel in a wonderful small town. it was a little hard to find, but once we figured out how to navigate the town itself it was easy to get home. we met really freindly people who came with us on day trips or just out for a drink. it was a very cute place and the staff was helpful and friendly. i left my towel by accident and they are mailing it back to me. thanks guys! i would definately recommend this place to anybody going to Rethymno. i would also recommend bringing earplugs because the walls are thin, so you hear people come home late or the early morning arrivials from the ferries. the really nice this is that they let up check-in and go straight to our room from the ferry (which arrived at about 8am). their kitchen is just a hotplate, a grill and a fridge, but you can make do. the fridge is also in the reception area, which is locked up from 1pm until 5pm, so make sure you don't need anything in that time. one more funky thing is the lack of plugs in the rooms, you have to use the plugs in the lobby because there are literally NO outlets in the rooms, this meant that we sat in the lounge waiting for cellphones and camera batteries to change and that was a little irritating.

What can I say, this place was simply amazing place to stay at, Ivan (hope I spelt that right) and the rest of the staff were the most friendly people you could hope to meet and were a good laugh too, plus its cheap and affordable for students like me self cost around 7-8 euros a night, which I a complete bargain.

Also if you go to this hostel you are guarantied to meet a vast array of different people, who from my visit all got along together, I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Also the hostel I well situated in the town of Rethymno, with easy access to the town which is practically on their doorstep and also it only a 10-15 mins walk away from the beach.

Thanks for everything, from the Cyprus bunch, Andy, Little James, Chris and Max

p.s. hopefully I will be going back there in the not to distance future
