A21 Airport Shuttle
Service from 05:30 to 00:00, every 10 minutes, it takes about 40 minutes, costs 33 HKD for each person (free of luggage fee). Please stop at the 12th or 13th bus stop (Mirador Plaza/ Chung King mansion). You will take 5 to 10 minutes walk to our hostel - Mirador Mansion.


Airport Express
Service from 05:50 to 01:15, every 12 minutes, it takes around 25 minutes, costs 90 HKD per each person (free of luggage fee). Please stop at the Kowloon Station and change to the free airport shuttle bus K3 or take taxi which costs less than HKD20 to arrive at Mirador Mansion.


K3 bus
- taking K3 to Holiday-inn Hotel and then go along the Nathan Road.


Taxi
24 hours service. It takes about 30 minutes, costs around 300 HKD (free for luggage fee). Please tell the driver to stop at the Mirador Mansion, Tsim Sha Tsui.


From Mainland China



Train
from ShenZhen

Service from 06:30 to 00:00, every 5 minutes, it takes about 45 minutes, costs 36.5 HKD for each person (free of luggage fee). Please stop at the last station, East Tsim Sha Tsui (M2 exit).


Train from Beijing/Shanghai
Taking the train to Hung Hom (Kowloon) station and then change to East Tsim Sha Tsui (M2 exit).


Ferry
There are two piers

Guangdong Road (Tsim Sha Tsui). The Mirador Mansion is within walking distance about 15 minutes.

Sheungwan. The MTR station is right beside it and customers can take MTR to the Tsim Sha Tsui station, D1 exit.

Words from our boss, Robert Li



Hello to all customers, I am Robert, the owners of five hostels. I have over 28 years experience of running hostels. Now reviewing the path I have gone through, it's really hard and full of challenges. When I was 25 years old, I devoted all my money on the first hostel, which has only four rooms, in the famous Chungking Mansion. By that time, I saw the golden opportunity of Hong Kong tourism and the hotel business. After five years and I earned my first a hundred thousands wealth , I built my second hostel in Mirador Mansion.

The reason why I moved to Mirador Mansion was that the property management of Chungking Mansion was in a mess. Though the value of properties were very cheap compared with Mirador Mansion, but there were too many immigrants like Indians, Middle Eastern people, Nepalese, Sri Lankans, Bangladeshis, Nigerians, Pakistanis. As I was mainly targeting customers from America and Europe, I decided to move to Mirador Mansion that is just a block nearby. From then on, my hostel business has developed very fast. Now i am the owner of the largest hostel affiliation. I am not showing off my wealth. I am gonna tell you the main reason I write this passage.

Seeing my success of hostel business, a lot of small hostels were established, mainly in Chungking Mansion and Mirador Mansion. However, foreign customers don't really know the situation of hotel business in Hong Kong. They always have the wrong expectation that customers easily have conflict with the hostel owners. I will list them as follows:

1. The Hostelworld company does not have the categorization-of-room-type function on their website at present (they are establishing now). We can only sell our standard rooms on their website. So we fail to differentiate our deluxe rooms from other hostels.

2. Foreign customers from America and Europe easily have wrong expectation because the hostel in their country are large with a comparable low price because their country is large also.

3. As above, they always think the rooms of hostels in Hong Kong are very tiny. That's what I always observe form the reviews on the website. They think they should receive similar rooms in Hong Kong as they got in their country with the same price. They don't understand that the land in Hong Kong is among the highest in the world.

4. Customers, after traveling to the mainland China, always complain that our rooms are tiny as compared with what they get in China. They don't understand that China is a still developing country. Their land is a lot cheaper than that in Hong Kong. Though Hong Kong is returned to China, they two own two separate and different systems. This is the famous policy 'one country, two systems'.

5. Customers doesn't know that the room rates are fluctuated and decided by the market. I sometimes come across some customers asking why the room rates at certain period is a lot higher that what he got in the past. I have given up answering this kind of foolish questions (not offending).

Based on the above observation, I am hereby to ask our customers to read the whole passage so that you will have a clearer picture of hostel business in Hong Kong. I want you to have a happy holiday here. I don't want you to have a fake expectation and then feeling being cheated after your fake expectation is not fulfilled.

I improve myself constantly, now I bare in mind that I should contribute myself to the Hong Kong tourism business. I saw that there is a large market of customers that they don't want to spend too much in accommodation and they do have some quality required from the accommodations they stay. They are no longer like the past that they only wanted a place to stay and most of the time they went out for sightseeing. Here, I created the 3-star-hotel-like New Garden Hostel to meet their demand. My goal is to give a comfortable place for customers after their tiring journey. I hope customers will remember Hong Kong, also they will remember us.

Common questions and answers (Q&A)

Q. Are there any difference between USA Hostel, New Garden Hostel, Kowloon New Hostel, Travellersfriendship Hostel and Mirador Hostel?
A. Dear our customers, they are all our branches of hostel but varies in their class. New Garden Hostel is deluxe type, the rest are standard ones.

Q. If I change my arrival date, will my room be available and what about the room rate?
A. I will ONLY try our best to accommodate your changes of booking. We don't guarantee that you can get the same room as you booked. The room rate is changed depends on the season and market. a 30HKD of Booking changing fee is charged for each changes of booking. We ONLY accept booking to be changed ONCE.

Q. I have confirmed my booking on the website and paid the deposit, do I have to write or call the hostel to re-confirm it?
A. Once it is confirmed on the website, we will automatically reserve a room for you. So you must not write or call to re-confirm it.

Q. I would like to change my booking’s arrival date but still stay the same number of nights (e.g. change from 6th June to 20th August, stay for three nights). Can you help me?
A. Please fill out the form below and send it to us. You must write the email title as “Change of Booking – from yy/mm/dd to yy/mm/dd, same number of nights “(e.g. Change of Booking – from 07/06/19 to 07/08/23, same number of nights)

Q. When I book the room, I wrongly choose another type of room. What can I do? (E.g. I wanted to book a single room with private bathroom, but I wrongly booked a double room with a shared bathroom)

Q. If I have made the mistakes of the room type, date of arrival and the number of nights, what can I do?

Q. How can I get to your hostel from airport, train station, etc.?
A. Please read the confirmation email from the official booking website clearly.

Q. Once I have arrived the airport, should I call to confirm?
A. There is no such necessity, but we would recommend you to use the airport free telephone to call.

Q. If I have other questions, what should I do?
A. Please kindly write us an email concerning your questions and the title must be “Other Questions”

Q. I have called to your hostel, but no one answers or my questions are not answered properly.
A. maybe our hostel is very busy, please write us email!

Q. If I have written wrongly about my estimated arrival time, what should I do?
A. Please immediately fill in our booking changing form so we can have proper arrangement for you.

Q. If I checked in very late like after 12 midngiht, will there be anyone waiting for me?
A. Absolutely. Once you book our room, we will reserve a room for you. Also, we will have our staff staying very late at night and wait for our precious customers.

Q. Do you provide free internet service?
A. We do provide free internet service for customers who booked our luxury rooms or customers who brings along with their own laptop. We do sell internet cards- 10 HKD for one hour one time use. 20 HKD for 2 hours usage within 24 hours.

Q. If I check out late on my departure date, do I need to pay extra money?
A. Excellent questions. We can arrange late check out and luggage storage so you can get back your luggage at night and catch your flight. However, please inform the manager at the reception at once so we can have the best arrangement for you.

Q. If I would like to book one more rooms, should I write an email or book through the official website?
A. We would highly recommend you to book through the official website so that you need to pay some deposit to secure your booking and we have a record of your booking in the back office!

Our customer should be aware that Cancellation must be done no later than 48 hours prior to your booking arrival date (12 noon), or two nights'room rent will be charged. Customers who fail to follow the above instructions will be charged two night’s room rent. Any changes within 48 hours of check-in time on the date of arrival, we will still charge accordingly. For example, your date of arrival is 6th June for three nights, and you write or call to change in the morning of 5th June, then we will charge you the night of 6th June and change the other two nights.

Customer should print out this Booking Changing Form and show it to the reception manager upon check-in. Our hostel policy will charge you from your credit card to secure your booking has been changed. For example, if you have booked one night, we will charge you for one night first. If you have booked for three nights, we will charge you for the first two nights and collect the balance upon check-in. If there are any changes of duration of your stay, it follows the above rule for extension of duration. For shortening, we will manage it during check-in. All other remains the same.
