Directions (how to arrive at the hostel):

Travelling by plane:

13 km away from Hévíz, the 'Fly Balaton' Airport of Sármellék receives scheduled flights and charter lines. Upon individual request, the airport, within its range of services, provides hire cars and coaches or gets passengers to their destination.

Those, who arriving at the Budapest-Ferihegy Airport can directly reach the town of Hévíz with the help of the regular coach service.

Travelling by car:

From the direction of Vienna and Sopron:
By exiting motorway A1, on motorway A3 leading towards Eisenstadt, motorists get to the border crossing point in Sopron. From here, take main road no. 84 through Sümeg to Balatonederics. You can reach Hévíz by turning to the west, to main road no. 71 through Keszthely.

From the direction of Slovenia, Lendava/Lenti you can approach the town best on main road no. 75, while from Croatia on main road E71.

From the direction of Budapest:
You cannot really miss the way from motorway M7, driving all along the southern shore of Lake Balaton, as far as Balatonszentgyörgy. From there, take main road no. 76, and then main road. 71 at Fenékpuszta (to the right at the Zala Bridge) and you can get to he town of Hévíz by driving through Keszthely.
There are several direct lines from Budapest to Hévíz or touching Hévíz. Hévíz has good communications by coach not only with the capital but all the larger settlements in Hungary. Several hundreds of coaches arrive at the bus station at Deák Square in the vicinity of the thermal baths. The up-to-date timetables can be checked on the web site www.zalavolan.hu where under the option 'Local timetable' you can find railway, flight and waterway schedules as well, besides road timetables.

Travelling by rail:

Hévíz does not have any direct railway communication. Passengers can get to the town by coach from the two closest railway stations in Keszthely and Balatonszentgyörgy.
Border crossing point - Klingenbach/Sopron (Austria/Hungary) and B84 in direction Balaton. In Sümeg turn right in direction Héviz. After arriving in Héviz, you will directed to the main street. After the 'MOL'-petrol station turn right in the second street in direction to the city center und follow the gradient. At the end of this gradient you will see a blue church. Before this blue church turn right again and follow the 'Zrínyi' street. At the second street (Dr. Mikolics Ferenc street) please turn right. At the end of this street on left side you will see the pension.
