if you don't mind: the ovens took a long time to boil the water. in night time the noisy doors and waste systems were a bit loud. but in a summit: it was worth that prize and the atmosphere was very good, friendly and we would visit you again. thanks to all.
The owner's reply
Thank you for your response. We have a new kitchen now so things are much better there.

rooms definitly too hot

cleanliness of toilets and showers could be better!

BUT: VERY NICE PLACE TO BE!!

The owner's reply
The weather has been so varied that it is hard to know whether to turn the heating up or down - all 4 seasons in one day!! Glad you liked the hostel.

Showers did not get warm enough
The owner's reply
We have new boilers so we should have plenty of hot water now.

Good location and a nice atmosphere. Shame our room was next to a rail track - made sleeping hard.
The owner's reply
Sorry about the train - we do have ear plugs at reception - next time ask for a room away from the train.

we must say that the kitchen was in a horrible state. There were only 6 of 38 cooking plates functionally working. Also there were not enough dishes, forks, knives and spoons.
The owner's reply
The good new is that we now have a totally new kitchen with lots of better facilities and utensils.

Helpful staff, appreciated that! Had some problems with the "keycard" but there were always others who helped out. Position great, near bus-station, shopping and some of Dublin´s sights. The trains running so close a bit annoying at nighttime but after a long day in Dublin you sleep anyway. Liked the entrance of the hostel and reception, feels welcoming.
The owner's reply
It's great you enjoyed your stay with us.

Superbly located, cheap, very friendly, Disco beneath a bit noisy, well organized, towel vanished, I suppose by mistake.
The owner's reply
Sorry about your towel - we could have given you another one from Reception. We dont have a disco underneath. There used to be one down the road but that isn't there anymore.

When we arrived at the Isaac's, we were quite astonished of the cute fassade and stunned by the central position it has (you turn round the corner follow the street and 5 minutes later you will find yourself on the O'Connoll Street which directly crosses the core of the city centre; within a 15-20 minutes walking distance you are in the lovely popular and partyish Temple Bar District with all its pubs and bars and restaurants). The staff was at any time absolutely helpful and patient. You can enter the hostel all around the clock. The kitchen is not the best but the rooms always were clean. In the cellar you can lock your luggage, play pool or just hang around on the comfy couches in front of the TV. Plus, it's one of the cheapest hostels in Dublin (I especially recommend online booking, which seems to make it even more discount!). All in all we had a very nice stay at Isaac's.
The owner's reply
So glad you liked the hostel. We have a new kitchen with all new utensils.

Good quality/price rate. Breakfast to be improved. Some problems with key-cards.
The owner's reply
Glad you enjoyed your stay. We have made some improvements to our free breakfast. I think the key card problems might be sorted out too.

Great place shame tho that it is all floorboards so can get very noisy!
The owner's reply
So sorry you found it noisy - we do find the floor board more hygienic than carpet.

The rooms were pretty nice for a hostel - probably the nicest I've seen at a cheap hostel. The showers were REALLY COLD! You can't control the temperature on the showers at all and you have to constantly press a button to get the water to flow. The water never warmed up! That was my biggest complaint. The bathrooms/showers were also pretty dirty. They could have done a better job keeping them clean, especially since they kick you out for a few hours during the day. It was nice to have a kitchen, but it was a pain because half of the stoves do not work and so you have to wait for one to become available. It was a big hassle to cook in the kitchen! I would only stay there again if it were for one night, not any more than that. Pay a few extra Euros to get a nice hot (at least warm) shower!
The owner's reply
The good news is that we have installed new boilers with lots moe hot water - with such a large hostel, everyone tends to have showers at around the same time so it can run out at some stage. We also have a totally new kitchen with new cookers and utensils.

a very mediocre hostel but conveniently located near the bus station and dublin's sights. its misleading for them to claim 24hr check in when u can't access the rooms between 11am to 2:30pm! also most of the staff couldn't be less interested in the customers, even when i checked in the receptionist didn't tell me anything about the hostel or its facilities, only to come back later for the room. when i came back the man there didn't even tell me where the rooms were! i would not stay here again.
The owner's reply
Unfortunately we have to close the access to the rooms between 11 and 2.30 for cleaning - it is just impossible to do it otherwise. If you come again you will find that our staff now are really accommodating and very nice. We also have posters informing everyone of our facilities and where everything is located. SInce we reopened we have been working very hard to get things right and to provide the very best possible hostel experience for our guests.

Very good location, close to the city

centre. Nice, clean and quite tidy.

Unfortunately, during these days in there were some problems with lockers and magnetic cards. The spa announced at the counter but also out of order those days.

But overally - really very nice place for 2-3 days visiting of the city. And relatively not very expensive.

The owner's reply
Thanks for your nice review - everything is in working order now.

this hostel was alright. the lockers are in the basement which is a pain if you are on the top floor but they are big enough to fit a lot stuff. the basement is a nice place to drink and hang out but the shower situation is pretty horrible.
The owner's reply
We have installed new boilers which is improving the showers. We just don't have room for the lockers upstairs.

Located in the city centre, but too near from the noisy train... Poor breakfast. They did not change bed lines my first night, however the toilets were quite clean for being a cheap hostel. Showers are in good condition. To sum up, a quite good place just to have a rest after a busy tourism day.
The owner's reply
We change the sheets every 3 days during a person's stay. Glad you enjoyed your stay. The breakfast is only a free breakfast which we offer free of charge to our guests which consists of toast, tea/coffee, juice and cereal.
