From the 1st of January 2012 tourists sleeping in Bergamo will have to pay the city tax on arrival: € 2.50 per person per night.

The San Giorgio Bergamo Hotel is situated in a central and strategic position: 400 metres far from a shopping centre and from the shopping area of Bergamo where all public transports merge into, in order to allow you to quickly reach all the places of interest such as the old town with the ancient “Piazza Vecchia” with its many narrow streets, the renaissance buildings and the historical monuments, the “Pinacoteca” of the prestigious “Accademia Carrara” and a lot of churches where you can admire some remarkable works of art, such as the paintings made by Lorenzo Lotto. The airport of Bergamo is 4 km far and really it is really easy to reach.

A4 Milan-Venice highway
Take the Bergamo exit, after the roundabout, take the third street on the right and follow the road signs “Centro”. After a kilometre and after the first traffic light, please take the street on the right and after the next traffic light turn right. Go straight and take the second street on the left. At this point, you should arrive in via Paleocapa. Follow this street by turning left after the traffic light and after 200 meters, you’ll find the hotel on your left.

Bergamo railway station
From the railway station, please go straight and walk on “Papa Giovanni XXIII” Street, turn left in “Pietro Paleocapa” street and go straight. You will find the hotel on the left, after 200 meters.

By Plane
Orio al Serio International Airport
You can find the bus “ATB” at the airport. It leaves every 30 minutes and it will bring you to the railway station of Bergamo. The hotel is 400 metres far from the railway station.
