The hotel 'Il Girasole' run by Mr. and Mrs. Orlando is located near the Castle of Materita -- primary residence of Axel Munthe, the Swedish writer and doctor, where between 1927 and 1929 he wrote 'The Story of San Michele', the novel read throughout the world -- between the Belvedere Migliera to the feet of Monte Solaro and is only 300 meters from the bus station which connects the most important points of the island.
