I got there and they told me my card hadn't been accepted. I already had payed the deposit of 10%, but still I could spend the night there. I never received a refund neither from Hostelsclub nor Hotel America. Worst place ever...

The location and staff are perfect. the only minus is the temperature in the hotel during winter.

Nice and clean place. The bads are not that great but it will do. The staff is really friendly and helpfull. Nice breakfast in de the morning. I can really recommend this place.

very clean, friendly and warm reception, they are always available to answer to your questions and help you. 24hour reception!! disadvantage:is very hot inside although is equiped with fans. i enjoyed my stay there!

I reserved the hotel for two nights, but I checked out after one night. They put four beds very close to each other in a small room, such that there is not enough space between beds to get on your bed.

The shower was not that great. There is a huge construction site very close to the hotel. Except this all was good.

generally a good place to stay if you're a low-cost traveller. Comfortable enough for the price paid. Very friendly staff and helpful. Situated close to tram and bus lines that go to the centre, also within walking distance. Does not have the best aesthetic appeal however, and the breakfasts can improve. generally good review.

The receptionist was very friendly. But it's a hotel which you should be flexible. For example, you can hear every word if someone is speaking in the corridor. The hotel is like a flat in a tower building.

Okay, so the bedrooms were small, but the staff is so helpfull and friendly. You feel right at home :)
Plus, the position is EXCELLENT!
I would recommend it to everyone.

Location and hotel surroundings quite ok. Very friendly staff. The hotel offers wi-fi but nobody could tell us how to set it up. Could be cleaned more carefully in the rooms. Bathrooms quite clean.

This place was much better than expected! Was small and run by a chinese family who were very helpful. Place was cleaned every day and sheets were always changed too. Breakfast was a small fruit salad, crossiant and toast - good for a hostel - and internet was cheap. Location wasnt the best but was only a bus journey away from the center, and for fun its not the best place either, but to be honest it doesnt seem like anywhere is in milan! If you meet some good people here you can have a good time! Would recommend though.

A small hostel, but close to the centre of Milano (at walking distance & tram in front of the hostel). But very small & warm rooms and there are too many people sharing 1 room (and also 1 bathroom with shower).

We had a great time in this hotel. The owners were very nice, but they didn't speak good english. It wasn't clean, but what do you expect in a *-Hotel? And we had been surprised, because there was a shower in our triple bed room.

Astonishing that prices were 3 times as high as normal during design week in Milan. Young people have to pay cash, elderly can pay by visa... Breakfast is only served in the room and is very basic. Bathrooms (shared in hallway) are also as basic as can be. For 100 euros per person per night we expected a bit more...

Away from underground lines; sb was smoking all the time in the hotel-you could smell it in your room; staff was missing from the reception constatntly, noisy etc.

They change us from hostel when we arrived, the staff only could speak italian, they did not even care the we had the whole day travelling and even scolded us

It wasn't that expensive, so that is why I choose to sleep here. The hotel is located at the fourth flour of a building which made it a bit difficult to find. Location wasn't that close to the station as well. Room wasn't to great either. I liked the staff though.

Hotel America, provides a good standard of accomodation on a cheap budget, The bedroom sharing for 5 people was ok, however the space is limited.Clanliness in general is good, and sharing the shower between 10 people can sometimes be inconvenient, but it is expected in a small establishment. Be aware that there is no hotel sign on the outside of the buiding,so it can be a little difficult to find.Overall though the experience was good.

Very good value for money: it's clean and neat for the most part, friendly, helpful staff, and only a 15 minute walk to the centre. They also have a microwave which you can use to heat food.
Negative points:
VERY NOISY. Sound carries from neighbouring rooms (you can understand their conversation) and the big street the house is on. The disco that played loud techno music until 5 am is due to close in April, though.
BREAKFAST. It's single items, plastic-wrapped; one croissant, two rusks. Instant coffee, microwave-warmed...
THE DOG. It's an adorable Golden Retriever. While to my knowledge it stays in the reception area, people with allergies might have trouble.

i really like this place, it's very clean, nice, won't break your wallet, safe, not far from the center of the city. i recommend this place alot if you're going to milano. perfecto!

it's quite far from city centre but not difficult to fine. the room is seem to be clean but the toilet is not. breakfast is alright but not really good quality, don't like the breakfast.

nice, comfortable budget hotel, surprised how spacious room was (single. definately needed sleeping bag in winter though! and ear plugs came in handy as walls very thin, could hear conversations in next room.

Pretty ok location...about 10/15 min walk to the duomo. Great staff - very accommodating and nice. He even gave me breakfast on the go when I had to leave early to catch the train. Not much to the hostel, bathrooms could definitely be cleaned more often, but overall a good place to crash for a night or two.

Do not be prepared to stay here if you enjoy bein gtreated rudely and also when needing directions all they can do is spit out broken english an dpoint to a map a few times. Being moved from room to room unnicely is also a massive downfall. Not the most central location. Best part a little kebap shop down below with yummy cheap pizza!

This was a great hotel to stay at, The owner is really nice an helpfull. Only a 20min walk into city centre an downsatirs is a great club. You get free breakfast so an added plus. We met some people from the other rooms but it is a hotel an not a hostel so their is no common room to socialise. I would stay here again...
