Hotel Ca' Grande *

Overall it was pretty good. Clean toilets, room with bathroom and balcony. The receptionists were also friendly especially one of the brothers that was very helpful with anything even at 3 a.m.

I just spent one night there. The staff is really great, the location is ok, everything looks clean, but old. And they don't have parking as I saw on the internet. On it it's written one star hotel, so for one night ok for more not so sure.

I booked a 3 bed shared room and i got a small room in the roof in the crazy hot weather, and many times i hit my head by the ceiling of the room. The owner was so mean. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Despite of fact that I have booked this hotel two months before my travel when arrived in hotel rude old man (I suppose - owner) said that we have to go to other hotel (murmured about rebooking). When we arrived in this other hotel we discovered that this hotel is not appropriate for living - it was very dirty, broken beds, instead of lamps only bulbs, on and over balcony waste dump. When we came back to the first hotel with protests about such hotel, the owner of Ca'Grande was very rude and said "It is your problem and I can give back your money and you can stay where you want to stay".

it is a quite nice hotel and the owner is very nice. The location not really good. If youre a first timer come to Milan, it is a little bit difficult to find the hotel. It is better for the hotel to give more information about how to get to the hotel

It was ok, but my problem was the lack of heating, unfortunately it was so cold in the room, i had to sleep in clothes.

Quiet place, very cheap and well linked to the city center. Nice and helpful staff. Clean, only the bed was a bit uncomfortable. Truly recommended for "poor" travellers!

Very nice hotel overall even tho it was only one star. Very helpful staff and the location is great for the price. The breakfast buffet was not worth the 3.5 it cost. I recommend this hotel for those who don't have a big budget.

the bathroom on my floor wasnt very good. there is only a bath with the size of a birdsbath and you cant sit on the toilet if you have legs, cause thell interfeir with the bath.

its cheap though so why complain

i have just arrived from milano, and i didn't recommend this hotel!! very-very loud, the trams and autos goas all the night, i couldn't sleep any during our 3 day. :( the boss and his wife was really moody and uncooperative. :( when we ask him for 2 touristmap (one for me and one for my friend), he gived forth that he can't give more (anyway we saw that they have many-many maps..) don't have breakfest there, it not value for the many. and the aircondition is 10EUR/day!!! :(( the bosses attitude is incovenient.

I was positively suprise by the hotel. we were 4 and have a nice room with bathroom both was clean and the staff were very nice with us. we even had a phone in our room which was cool to receive call from our friend

very good position - near the centre and also close to the central station. staff - helpful and enthusiastic. everything as it should be ;)

The hostel is quite far from the city center, and I think that the bathroom were not so clean and should get a real shower instead of that old bath.

Very good standards for one star hotel- there was a grievance- they had overbooked the shared rooms, which we had booked, but then made us pay extra for our private room which they assigned us on arrival- we felt we should have been charged the shared room rate as it was not our fault they had overbooked, and we had emailed arrival times to them days before. However the room was clean and nice, and the breakfast was a cut above most other breakfasts, as they gave us fruit cereals and fruit juice. However you do have to pay for it.

Great hostel!!! I recommend it to everybody. It is 3 bolcks away from a metro station. Clean, great staff and the breakfast they give you (3 or 4 euros more) is great!

the room was sooo cold.cold wind came from window.when i ask about window,the staff shouted to me about 15 minutes.crazy italian.i changed hotel.i hate evil crazzy staff.

Nice little hotel, but the noise from the street is quite loud. Bring your earplugs, otherwise it is hard to sleep. And also in winter the rooms are quite cold. But a nice hotel for a reasonable price and with nice staff!

The Hotel is very good, and Fabio, the owner, is very nice!!. Howard the guy of the reception is a very good person and nice too.

Interner dont work! Metro station LORETO is too far. Its a little to loud in room from reception.

The communal shower would not be cleaned for at least 24 hours and i had to tell them TWICE about the missing toilet paper inthe bathroom )which goes to show how little they clean the bathroom).

This hotel was clean, nice, with a good breakfast and friendly staff. The area the hotel was located in was okay and easy reachable by tram and metro from and to the centre and central station. Even walking to the centre was possible. The only minus of the hotel was that my heating was not working, and therefore the nights were quite cold, since it was already november. But overall, I can only recommend this hotel! Price-quality are great.

The accommodation was o.k., very nice and helpful people. But it's noisy from the street, you can sleep only with closed windows. After two days we knew which tram or bus we had to take from the next subway-station, so it wasn't so far any more :-)

The room I stayed in on the fourth floor, was more like a converted staff housing unit than a hotel room (room numbers on this level are stuck on with post-it note paper). It was 35 degrees celcius and almost 80% humidity and happened to be one of the only two rooms in the hotel that were not airconditioned... The floor was also quite dirty and the shower in the shared bathroom was no more than a old fashion ¨sit in a trough and clean yourself with a short hose¨. On the bright side I did enjoy a nice breakfast for an additional 3 euro in the morning and the owner was friendly host.

My girlfriend and I stayed here in May & were very pleasantly surprised.We were provided with a large shower & a balcony which made made all the difference. Would definitely stay again.

The position of the hotel is fantastic with easy connections to any part of Milan by public transport. the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and the buffet breakfast is abundant, to say the least!! Highly recommended!

Much better than i ever hoped it to be, nice and clean, and not very far from Milan center, but bring earplugs! Much traffic 24/7.
