By train:
The Trinacria Express links the centre of Palermo to the airport.

The train leaves every hour at 5 minutes past the hour from “Falcone Borsellino” airport, and at the 10 minutes past the hour from the railway station “Palermo Centrale”, every day from 5 a.m. till 10 p.m. It takes about 45 minutes and stops at Vespri, Palazzo Reale - Orleans, Notarbartolo, Francia and in the stazion of Piraineto, where the 'Trinacria express' serves travellers coming from Trapani.



Some trains make more stops and leave at half past the hour from “Falcone Borsellino” airport and 40 minutes past the hour from the railway station “Palermo Centrale”. It takes about an hour .
A one-way ticket costs 5,00 euro.

By bus (from the centre of Palermo to the airport and back)

Route: Palermo –railway station “Palermo Centrale”, via Emerico Amari (Port), Politeama, via Libertà, via Croce Rossa - Piazza A. De Gasperi, via Ausonia, via Belgio, Airport.

From railway station “Palermo Centrale”: first journey at 4 a.m. Then, from 5 a.m. till 11 p.m the bus leaves every half an hour.

(no journey at 10.30 p.m.)

From the Airport: first journey at 5 p.m. Then, from 6.30 a.m. till midnight the bus leaves every half an hour.

From railway station “Palermo Centrale” to Monreale

Monreale can be reached by public transport (Bus Service AMAT).

From the railway station “Palermo Centrale” take bus n. 109 to Piazza Indipendenza, then take bus n. 389 that stops directly in Piazza Duomo in Monreale.
Fare: € 1,00; the ticket is valid for 120 minutes.

Alternatively, from Piazza Indipendenza you can change with the Bus Service AST which links Palermo to via Biagio Giordano in Monreale. In this case you will have to buy another ticket.
Fare: € 1,40 each journey.
