Giovanni's Home

After having stayed at Giovanni's home, the question is not "if" I will go to Naples (Napoli) again, but "when". And then I will stay at Giovanni's again. It is my home in Napoli.

You meet nice people there and it feels safe. Giovanni gives a good introduction to Naples and 100 % of himself. There are so many things to do and look at in and around Naples, do not miss it! I was there 2 + 4 days and I still have many things to discover.

Giovanni's home was one of the best place i've never staid. Giovanni spent lot of time giving tips and advices about his city. The hostel is really well situated, really clean. Giovanni cooked us a really good dinner for free ! Incredible ! At Giovanni's home you sincerely feel at home ! Thanks for all Giovanni !

Giovanni's Home is a must stop in Naples.

Giovanni told us everyting we needed to know about the city, it was very helpful. The position is in a interesting area, pretty close to everything you need.

Giovanni could not have been more helpful, position of hostel good, price excellent.

The hostel has a great terrace on top, the ambient in the hostel is great, and giovanni is very kind and friendly, He knows everything about Napoli. The hostel is in the center and I think is the best to stay in Napoli.

This was the best hostel we stayed in during our entire trip. The staff are very welcoming and full of advice for places to see in Naples. I was sad to leave. Thanks Giovanni and Valeria!

We stayed at this place for 3 nights. It is a very safe and fun hostel, where you can easily meet people. The staff is just awesome. Valeria and Giovanni are the best, they will help you to get around the city and make your stay very enjoyable. If I go back to Naples, I will definatly go back to this place!

giovanni´s house really is like staying with a friend. everyone hangs out on his terrace and sometimes he cooks big meals for everyone to sit outside and enjoy together. The staff is very friendly and upon arrival you get a map and about 30 minutes of explanation of how to get everywhere in the city, where the bad neighborhoods are, and what there is to do.

Mama Giovanni is there to help and talk to you, while serves you a beautiful pasta. you feel at home.

If you have to stay at Naples, this is a good place for it. There are better Hostels if you only care about furniture and all that, but if you want to find a place with the better people, this is for you. Giovanni (and the whole staff) takes care of all his visitors, and makes your experience at Naples a great one. You also have great information about everything!!

The night before arriving in Naples we had a call from Giovanni confirming our booking with an invitation to lunch. This set the tone for our entire stay. We were given a warm welcome upon arrival, fed lunch before even checking in, then given a detailed map with suggested itinerary and most importantly told the areas of Naples that a tourist should avoid.

Giovanni has encouraged a wonderful atmosphere where we all ate, drank and mingled on his beautiful Terrazzo!

We've had a free dinner and could have had a free lunch - at an unbeatable price for the night. The owner is super-nice (helped us organize a trip) and made us feel very welcome. Very much of a community feel.

Excellent hostel, genuine hospitality, good location close to ferry, metro, and sites. Giovanni is wonderful, makes you feel right at home. The real italian experience :)

I had a realllllllly good time in Giovanni's hostel. First of all, he is an amazing person, and the hostel is verrrrry relax and so welcoming! Me and my boyfriend will recomend it to everyone. Trust me, it is awesome...!!!

I loved my stay at Giovanni's home! I would recommend this hostel to anyone who is thinking about visiting Naples, the staff are very knowledgeable about the area and will recommend places to visit and answer any questions you have!

The balcony is a brilliant social area and I met so many lovely people, if you're lucky you may get a free bottle of wine from Giovanni and maybe a cooked meal as well (which was delicious!)

All in all I had a brilliant time and wouldn't think twice about going back again! I even got a tour of Naples on the back of Giovanni's motorbike!!

This is the Hostel to go to when in Naples. Giovanni is a top shelf host who will tell you where to go, supposedly give you lunch if you are there at the right time, and if he sees you are having a good time at night on the Balcony, throw in a bottle of wine.

Only down side is that because its in an apartment building, must vacate the balcony at 12ish and really kills off te evening atmosphere. Giovanni needs to rearrange the reception area and put some sofa's, a table and a tv so people can gather there.

Rooms are pretty much hostel standard but the atmosphere and Giovanni is the real value.

This is the only place you stay in Naples

Staff very helpful. Giovanni will cook you dinner and his staff helped us plan and book our next stop in Greece.

I have to say Giovanni's Home has to be the best Hostel I have stayed at in all my travels.I felt like I was staying with an italian family rather than a Hostel! Giovanni was fantastic and very generous. He provided me with all the information I needed in my time in Naples, where the nearest supermaret was, ferry timetable to Capri, best places to shop oh and where to buy the best pizza in Napoli!

Each night was special and unique. Delicious home cooked pasta was prepared for all of us in the evening served with wine!

My experince in Naples has been incredible thanks to how welcomed I felt and staying at this Hostel just made me forget the bad reputation Naples may have.

I can't recommend it enough.

This place is magical- take eerything you hear about Naples and forget it. Ita an amazing city and giovanni ome is the place place to stay when you come to see it.

Giovanni's Home is just that... Giovanni's home, and when you are his guest you feel like you are an old friend that has come in for a stay. When I arrived hot and sweaty from looking for his place (it's not well marked), he brought me a cool glass of water to drink, and informed me that dinner was being served on his beautiful patio. After dropping off my bags, there was a steamy pile of freshly made penne pasta waiting, along with several glasses of nice red wine. This was great because it gave all of the fellow hostellers a chance to bond over a nicely shared meal. This is a nightly ritual.

After the meal, I was taken on a tour of the home from Livio, a nice Romanian fellow. Not only did he give me a map, but showed me the proper routes for Capri and Pompeii, and listed all of the sites in Naples, and pointed out the best place to eat Pizza! I've rarely seen this sort of attention given from a hostel staff.

His home is refreshingly airconditioned, a joy coming from the hot steamy apartments of Rome. The beds are simple and clean. There are only two bathrooms, but this never was an issue.

Because of Giovanni's personality, the hostel really takes on the feel of a home rather than a cheap pension. You will fall in love with the environment and suddenly wish that all hostels were this great.

The only gripe I had initially is finding the place... Because it is his home, it is really unmarked. You WILL think you are at the wrong place, because of it's non-descriptness. However, once you do find the place it's worth it.

I found this hostel cheap and the staff here are so happy to help with anything you have. I highly reccomend this hostel to anyone who is coming to Napoli.

Giovanni genuinely cares about the people who stay at his hostel (his home for real)...he makes pasta for everyone as a kind of meet and greet and tries to include everyone. Gives great suggestions and tips about Naples and other good places to travel!

Giovanni's home was a great experience. Giovanni and staff were extremely welcoming and provided excellent travel advice. Best of all was the atmosphere in the hostel, Giovanni's cooking (best pasta in Naples) and the value for money. Bellissimo!

This is a very lovely hostel. it is kind of hard to find, but if you call giovanni, he'll explains you perfectly where it is.

When you arrive, the staff gives you a glass of watter, the bathroom is great and very clean...

It is really the perfect hostel to stay if you are in Naples !

Giovanni is the nicest hostel owner i have encountered on my travels so far. You truly do feel safe and at home here. The beds are comfy and he has a beautiful, large rooftop terrace, perfect for chatting with other guests over wine or enjoying a meal (if your lucky, prepared by Giovanni himself!).

We loved staying at this hostel. Giovanni and Livio make you feel like part of the family. Bright rooms, large and clean bathrooms, and pasta dinners on the terrace all make for an exceptional Naples experience. Highly recommended.

Absolutely fantastic staff, went out of their way to make sure everybody was happy. The location is about 5 minutes walk from the Museum, 10min to what I think was the main shopping street. Definitely no reservations in recommending this hostel.
