Acquario Romano

I would like to say that I haven't found this hostel

At this adress there is no acquario romano at all, instead I spend my night at the dangerous streets of Roma. I have called the hostel but no one responding. Moreover I have already made a prepayment but this didn't helped me. I don't know who is wrong but it's the last time I will use this site for booking.

We have really nice time in Rome :) Acquario Romano B&B has a great location, near Termini Station and very close (15-20 mins walk) to major attractions. Owner (Laura) was very nice and helpful.

Really nice, clean and comfortable room.

We recommend to everybody

Hey guys this was a very nice place to stay in Rome. A 2 min walk from the termini metro-bus-train station, Aquario Romano is located at a place which is flooded with cheap restaurents and souvenir shops... looking at the city transportation termini is the centre of all...all roads,metro,trains merge to termini... the owner Laura was too friendly and did not took the city tax which every other hostel takes for 3 Euro s per person per night... there is a common lobby with anytime coffee/tea maker.... the room was very clean and had everything you might need as a tourist... the only disadvantage i could see is the area around termini has quite some pickpocket crowd... dat could be taken care if you stay alert of everyone walking around.... i would strongly recommend Aquario Romano for every other fellow hosteler...

Nice host, easy to find from Termini, about 15min on foot from major attractions like Colosseum. Small breakfast (coffee with croissant) included, which was nice. Rooms are clean and comfy with a huge fan above. No wifi, but overall it is a great B&B :)

The room hadn't been cleaned yet when we arrived, but after it had been cleaned the place looked great. The room was lovely with a nice private bathroom.

The neighborhood doesn't look the greatest but it's very close to a big station with shuttle busses to the airports. Lots of places to eat and walking distance to the city center.

It's a real bargain, considering the price of these rooms. A private room in Rome at this price is hard to find.

First of all I need to mention that when we arrive the place was clean and well organized. There were towels, clean bedsheets, the room and the bathroom were also clean. Unfortunately, for some reasons I would not stay in this place again. Location is good considering that it is very close to Termini station, but this neighborhood is not very nice. It's dirty, loud in the night and I wouldn't have a walk there in the night. The apartment is quite hidden, there is no sign of it except of the one written next to the bell. Don't except some kind of neon or something, there is nothing. When you enter the apartment it looks like you would be entering the someone's living room. The owner seems nice, but he was completely absent. He opened the door for us then disappeared. Apparently he lives there but the door to his apartment are permanently closes so it's not very inviting. I'm not even sure if he speaks English as we exchanged maybe 5 words during our stay. The breakfast was not a breakfast. There were few croissants packed in plastic bags, Nespresso coffee machine some tea bags and electric tea pot from the 70. with the cable of 10 cm, which did not switch off automatically so you have to watch it until it boils and then turn it off. If you need anything else from the kitchen, it was dirty and messy and in the end you would not want to take anything from there. Normally I'm not very picky but when I see that the owner apparently doesn't care and he doesn't want to improve even small details (organize the main room, clean the kitchen, buy a new electric pot, which is like 10 eur), I don't feel good in such places. There was no smoking sign in the rooms but the owner was smoking in his apartment and it was stinking in the main room as well. I don't smoke so it really bothered me. The room was ok, although the furniture was old and each piece was from different set. Not very pretty. It's kind of place where you just come back because you have to sleep for at least few hours but you stay there for the least necessary time. Probably depends what are you looking for, but if you need a small, nice apartment in the city center, which would not make you want leaving it immediately all the time, don't rent this one. I would not stay there again.

There isn't information about Aquario in front door of building.

It's old building with bad smell in the bathroom. Bedroom and breakfast are OK.

Nice room, big, clean with TV and A/C, nice view to the park nearby. We have a nice welcome, but, we don't see the staff in the other days, and we don't have breakfast... so for been a Bed and Breakfast... the last part was missing.

It was really nice stay in this apartment, everything was clean. Location is really close to the central station. There is a kitchen, what is possible to use. I really recommend it!!

Everything all right, just be patient before trip - the owner takes time to answer e-mails.

The bed & breakfast place is very close to the Termini Station (less than 5min walking) and therefore central and easy to reach! The appartment with the three double bed rooms is on 5th floor, but there is also an elevator in the building.

The breakfast consists out of high quality coffee and packaged croissants. This is the Italian way of breakfast and not comparable to a continental breakfast. But it is enough to have a good start in the day and explore the city!

The room is bright, clean, has a nice TV and an own bathroom.

In total, it's simply the perfect place for a stay in Rome!

Excellent staff member- very accommodating. Is 5 mins away from the termini and close to everything. The only complaint is that they don't have Internet or AC (this is not what it said on this website). However, if those aren't an issue, definitely book this.

We enjoyed our stay in Acquario Romano. Everything was ok, except for missing wi-fi and not exactly functional shower. Alessandro was a very pleasant host.

If you look for cheap accomodation in good location, near centre it is good solution. The owner is very nice person. You should be prepare that during night, there is also noise on the street, it's Rome ;)

We had a great time at Acquario Romano. The location itself is excellent. At the B&B everyone was welcoming, friendly, helpful and approachable. We've got loads of tips and directions about our trip. We thoroughly recommend the place.

I loved the double bed room, it was clean and had beautiful furniture! :) It has air condition, which we needed the most during the hot days... We had a nice view to Aquario Romano's ancient building and it's park. Termini is very near (there's a supermarket!), also near is Santa Maria Maggiore church and San Pietro in Vincoli where's the Moses statue... Very good location! The owner is very friendly and helpful, I'm sure I will sleep here next time!

The location of guest house and room are pretty good. The furniture is new and there is enough space.

But when we came, the air-conditioner was broken and this problem wasn't solved during our 5-day stay. It was very hot in the room, as the outside temperature was about 40 degree. At least they gave us a fan in some days, when we were lucky to see a guest house employee.

You can forget about breakfasts!

In fact we saw guest house managers only 2 times, and if we had had a problem, we would have had nobody to address. You are left all by youself, they don't even throw trash from trash-bins in the room, not saying about any cleaning.

it is a really nice place to stay, almost in the middle of Rome. I really recomend that place to everyone.

Very nice place. Didn't see the proprietor after the first evening, but that was totally OK. Spacious room, clean.

Lokation - excellent, room was clean in clean house.

Excellent location. Quiet but near the bus and underground station. 15 mins to the Coloseum walking. Room was large with comfy double bed and good shower in the on suite. We had coffee for breakfast and sometimes croissant and there was a shared fridge you could store your own food in. Alex was helpful. I would recommend this to friends and it was good value at 60 to 70 Euros a night for 2 of us.

Absolutely clean, totally convinient, 2 min from Termini station and 10 from historical center. Thank you, Alessandro, for pointing the best of Rome for us!

It was perfect place to spend some holydays.

This is really good quality-price accomodation located nearby Railway Station in a good neighbourhood, having spacious, clean,quite rooms.

We stayed in Acquario Romano for 6 nights. I can describe our stay as fantastic! The location is perfect, room was very clean and comfortable, well equiped kitchen and most of all very friendly and helpful owner of the hostel. For sure I can reccomend Acquario Romano to everybody. Jakub & Marta

Very clean, great location, great for couples.. not a good place if you are looking to meet people.. would stay there again, also recommend it for anyone out there!

Only breakfast when someone come. We have breakfast on 2 of 4 days. 1 day out of hot water when I was washing my hair :(( Room is ok. no kitchen. no internet. lazy staff. dont recommend.

we booked this one,but the boss told us it's full and transfered us to the other hostel.although that one is clean and acceptable, the owner is reluctant to provide breakfast early in the morning.we both agreed on a time but he got late 20 min.外国也有转包的，也有各种不靠谱，建议还是不要选择这种类型，选择hotel的比较好。

IT is a nice pleace to spent a few days,and the owner,Sandro its cool guy.

Very nice, good people, though breakfast could have been better organised and less cheap.

Although we had a good time (young couple) and we didn't pay much (30 euros a night, Rome is quite expensive), we didn't get what we payed for - there was no WiFi, no breakfast at all, no hair dryer, no air conditioner and no fridge. Besides, there is no 24h reception (although the staff waited for us even when we arrived at almost midnight).

Price is still good, was easy to find, great location and we felt safe. The room was clean and we slept great. The only downside in the room was the shower - the water is boiling for a minute and then for a few seconds freezing.

Overall it's a good place for young couples on a budget who're looking for a nice place with a private bed and shower, and the staff was very kind, but pay attention to the fact that the description doesn't match what the B&B has to offer (especially the lack of WiFi was a bit disturbing).

On the other hand, Rome is expensive when it comes to accommodation, and I'm not sure that for less than 30 euros a night you can find a double bed with a private bathroom, so despite the lack of WiFi - we had a good time and it was worth the price.

Very nice room with beautiful view on the a small church and a small park. Location is very close to the main station Termini with metro, buses, and connection with the Fiumicino airport. The room is clean and cosy, the atmosphere is very nice. The owner is very helpful and nice. There is free wi-fi for those, who has their own computers. Around this area there are a lot of restaurants, bars and cafes and many chinese shops. To Colosseum is only 10 minutes by walk and the area is beautiful. I reccomend this bed&breakfast! :D

Italian people playing cards and speaking very loudly until 4 o clock at night behind the door of the room. No sleep.
