The owner was very kind. There was a terrace where we could spend the nights with our friends. The rooms were big and nice. The breakfast was rich and we could use also the equipments in the breakfast room. Thank you Matisse!

Location is excellent! Very clean and comfortable.
Weak points: neither fruits nor fruit juice provided in breakfast; no TV; a bit of noise from main road at night.

Very large spacious room with big recently remodeled ensuite bathroom. high ceilings, marble floors and ceiling to floor length windows. free 24 hour breakfast bar with pastries, cereal, and yogurt and coffee, tea, juice, water. But be warned...its not a staffed hotel, so you have to call when you get there. we had trouble contacting the owner to let us check in and had to wait almost 2 hours before he would answer his cell phone.

Fabulous place to stay esp bc it is waking distance from metro line B, Piazza Venecia (where u can catch a lot of buses) & the Colosseuem & Roman Forum.The rooms are unusually large, big windows (a little noisy if by the busy road Cavour). Warning-there is no way to buzz into the bldg so call ahead before reaching to make sure there is someone there to let u in!!

The rooms are beautifull and clean. Matisse is very close to the center of Rome.
The breakfast is not so well.
