Simple, clean and quite well equipped accommodation, at a good place in Rome. Polite English speaking staff and a simple “Italian” breakfast. The only problem is noise from rush streets.

Sole e Luna is a very nice hostel. You are 5 min away from Coloseum, the rooms are great, it is very clean and on top of all you get your breakfast in bad for really cheap price. I am very satisfied.

We booked a double private room with WC for 4 nights. We then got a king size bed and a tv. The hotel has a nice location. Loud because of the street, but close to a metro station (6 minutes by foot). Breakfast was disapointing though. It is not a buffet type of breakfast. They bring it to your room at the time you want (which was nice), but it is a very small breakfast. (1 croissant in a bag per person and 1 coffee). You have an elevator to access to the fourth floor of the building. Most of the staff speak very good english and everything was clean. You also have Internet free. But if you were planning on using the computer of the hostel, be aware that it is not high speed Internet. Also, you have special fees per person per night that you have to pay. We had to pay 16 euros more on the final bill which suprised us. It was written at the front desk, but not on our confirmation paper.
In the end, we had a very nice stay in this hotel. I recommand it.

Very nice place, perfectly located, clean, nice and helpful staff. We have spent 4 nights with 22 students, everybody was very happy!

The hotel was very good. It was clean and the rooms were well furnished and nice. Air condition worked well and the place was good for public transport (bus stop 20metres away and metro was 5 min walking). The breakfast was of, not excellent but 'italian'. They brought the breakfast to your room.

there were PERFECT!! Everything, everyperson. Hostel cleaning service, friendly reception.. Sole a Luna.. We wanted to stay there 3 days, but then we decided to stay there until leave Roma. Near to Coloseum, near to big catedrals.This place in the city center. We rent a motorbicyle . I advange you, too. We visited more then 20 different places in 5 days. I loved Roma, I liked Sole a Luna too. We want to go Roma there again, and excactly we will stay Solu a Luna again. Cheap and quality . Less money, more service. Internet free, also ther is a coffe machine, 1 coffe 0,20 cent. They put 0.20 cent on the table every day in your room. And 1 sweet thing, jam , bread , fruit juice for breakfast. Include cost. We were also lucky because the weather was sunny every 5 days.

Clean place located 5 min walk to old Rome. Near the bus station and groceries. People there were nice and the room is a good value especially with the small breakfast you get. Wifi worked perfectly which was a bonus. Recommended.

Very nice place to stay. The staff is very friendly and receptive. They speak Italian, English and Romanian. Close (10 min. walk) to Colosseum and Roman Forum ruins. And close to the Central Railroad Station (Roma Termini).

Hello. This hostel was really good. In a good place (5 minutes far way from manzoni metro station) and clean. The breakfast was normal (coffee/chocolate/juice and bread with butter). I recommend to advise the hostel before your arrival because we had an small problem the first day. They made a mistake and we had to spend the first night in a 3star hotel which was really near. But excepting this our stay in this B&B was perfect.

Cheap and clean, well situated near metro/bus station. WIFI accessible at all floors.
Rooms exactly the same as depicted on website.
Weak points: might be too loud for some visitors as Via Merulana is quite noisy street yet for me it wasn't a problem at all.

The TV does not work, there is a lot of noise in the building, it is impossible to pay with credit card..

I did not rate the staff so well due to the lady who serves the breakfast, not always in a good mood. Apart from that, the rest of the staff were really kind and eager to help.

Very nice place, conveniently located close by metro and bus stops, very friendly and helpful personnel, the room was clean and generally made a good impression. I cannot judge the fun factor, as I was just looking for a decent place to sleep.

I've just came back from Rome and had excellent time there. Sole e Luna situated very central (very close to Colosseum and with easy access to Termini train station). Rooms and shared bathrooms are very clean, staff is very friendly and very helpful. You can see that customer comfort is very important for them. Very nice place for reasonable price.

Good location, close to the city center and to the Termini station, but very noisy during the night due to the vehicles removing rubbish bins. Clean room and bathroom, the room could have more human touch, otherwise acceptable conditions for the price paid.

After Enjoy Hostel it was heaven for us, but apart from this it was a very great place to stay because of the fine hospitality and the staff! The rooms were clean and comfortable! The only thing that was bothering us, was the noise of the street Merulana! It was much too loud!thx a lot

I found Sole e Luna to be without big luxuries, but absolutely adequate for my needs. The place was very clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The Colosseum, Forum Romanum, and many other places of interest were within walking distance. I liked this part of Via Merulana, the busy street the hotel is located on, overshadowed by huge and beautiful plane trees.

Sole e luna is just two stops away from the main Termini station, which I thought at first would be a hindrance as we would have to travel by Metro to get to the central station, but it turned out to be a good thing as the area around Termini was EXTREMELY dodgy-like, yet the area around Sole e Luna was a clean, pleasant area. From Sole e Luna you can walk to basically anywhere in Rome, it took us only about 5 minutes to walk to the Colosseum and we didn't find the need to use the metro at all during our stay as it was centrally located (and we liked walking - free!) The place looks more like a hotel than a B&B, which was good. Everything was very clean, although our ensuite bathroom was a bit small. The place itself is very nice looking, we got free internet but the connection is a bit slow, however we also got a machine that dispensed free tea, coffee & milk at all times which was SUCH a huge bonus! If you have to leave your luggage it can only be until 2PM though, which was an inconvenience for us as we had to rush back from the Vatican after our tour was over to retrieve our luggage. Overall very nice place to stay, would definitely recommend it, although bear in mind you can't leave luggage there after 2PM on the day you check out when you're planning your days in Rome.

The hotel price is good, very cheap. However, so many door keys before you can get into this hostel, I was not able to open the main door the first night, had to sleep in another hotel. Anyway, they gave me discount for that, but the experience was disappointing!

We had a nice time in Sole e Luna, the room and the bath was nice and clean. The traffic was quite heavy from early morning and also late at night, which could also be heard in the room, that was a bit distrurbing

The best place we stayed on our trip to Italy. Outgoing and friendly staff, super clean, on a BEAUTIFUL street (lined with large trees) in a nice, high-end building, and a comfortable true double bed in a large, sunny room. Well situated to sights and trans. ONLY downside: noise from the street, which is easily fixed by the well-insulated windows. Could not ask for more! Thank you for making Rome a great place to visit!

Very nice and clean accomodation only ten minutes to walk to the Colosseeum. Although owners do not speak very good English, they are really helpful and try their best to answer possible questions. I can only recommend this place!!!

The E&S Guesthouse is very small and homelike: there were only a few rooms available for rental and it felt like having an own apartment in Rome. The rooms are quite big and nicely furnished. Sharing the bathroom wasnt a problem as there were only a few other guests. The staff was frienly and they even kept our luggage there for a few extra hours although they dont really have facilities for luggage storage. Only the breakfast was a bit disappointing, as it only consisted of instant coffee and a greasy croissant in a plastic bag served in the hallway. But all in all we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place for backpackers!

Located on a nice big street with lots of restaurants and shops. Very close to the metro station. Hot water but the breakfast included is very minimal. There is an elevator. Staff is fine. Good for the price.

Estaba bien situado y limpio.Era la típica habitación con cuatro camas literas y un armario. Sin queja.Aunque los baños eran compartidos, estaban recogidos y limpios.
Well located and clean. Normal room with four beds and a wardrobe. Nothing else to comment.Even though the bathrooms were to share, the were comfy and clean.
