The room that we got was even closer to the "Roma Termini" station than the address of the reception. Very quiet though. We wanted to stay in Rome just overnight and head on to Napels on the next day by train. So the hostel was perfect. For dinner we found a pizzeria nearby. In the morning we went to the coffee shop at the corner. It was all just perfect. Dolce vita.

The hostel was very near from the termini station. The only negative point is that we was waiting durin 30 min under the rain that the owner finished his lunch and came back to the hostel.

Great position, although the bathroom was not very nice (literally, the toilet was joined with the shower). Staff was very helpful and friendly. Good quality for a fair price.

Walking distance to train station and all main sights. Small personal hostel with a few rooms, good for meeting people. Hostel owner very friendly - made our stay in Rome very enjoyable & he had good information on all the local area and was willing to share.

After a tour through europe, staying in hostels, volturno house was by far my favourite. There are great rooms, very spacious, and Babu is very friendly. Babu is a great friend, and will help you with anything you ask.

Hostel staff was very good and cooperative. Breakfast was also nice, especially capuccino. We also got a good indian food parcel for one night. Hostel was even flexible with our checkout time. OVerall value for money.

It is a great location(you are very close to the Termini station, in the center of the city), the staff is very nice. If you are not picky, then this is the right choice. You have all the basic conditions, I recommend it to all those who want to visit Rome and not to stay inside.

In the hostel description they say that all the rooms have room heater, Television, dvd, satellite chanel, Hairdryer, Wall Clock, Mirror and Large closet.
My room had no closet, had a mirror, didn't had a wall clock, the hair dryer is common and is not in the room, it had a TV but with only 1 italian channel so no satellite channels, no DVD.
The room is in the 1st floor of an old building with no lift the place is rather small, and the breakfast is taken in a coffee/bar in the same street and it is very poor 1 croissant and 1 coffee and you won't miss them.
The building is near the termini wich is good for transports but is far from the historic center.
You better be carefull at night it is a very dangerous place, and very bad frequented even at the day time.
The rooms have serious problems like no glass in the windows.
It rained inside the room and it got inundated, the electrical installation is a problem too or doesn't work or something is missing.
The doors are very deteriorated and make a lot of noise you can ear everything and you will not sleep well at night.
The owner often smokes at the hostel and after that opens the windows and the hostel gets full of mosquitos.
The beds didn't had sheets just the orange one we asked babu to put sheets babu tooked 3 days to give them.
He didn't cleaned the room one single time, and never took the garbage the room got full of ants.
The bathroom is shared and there is no bathtube or poliban just a hole in the floor.
The internet is on babu room and you won't have privacy he sleeps there during the day with his 'cousin' on the floor and the fridge is there so i supose it was a kitchen.
Babu is friendly but that place have no conditions to be a hostel.

Great place to stay, small, clean and really good location. Just a few meters of the station. But the best is the owner Babu, a really funny guy (How are you brother?)! Go there and enjoy your time!

Babu was awesome, and very kind to let us check in early to get some sleep after a horrible overnight train. It was very clean and no other problems. Only thing was very hot in Rome when i was there and no AC.

It was the worst hotel I have stayed in in my life.They woke us up in the middle of night and ask for their money even though the check-out was due next day.The breakfast consists of an old croissant and a coffee.If you want anything more (like water) you have to pay. 2 euros for water by the way.
