How to reach us

By train:
From Malpensa Airport:
Take the Malpensa Express to Milano, buy a ticket to Saronno. Saronno is the first or second stop, depending on the trains (it takes 17 or 20 minutes € 6.00). Make sure that your train stops in Saronno.

From Milano Nord Cadorna (downtown Milan):
Trains to Saronno are very frequent (about every 5 minutes) make sure you take a train with direction Varese, Como, Laveno or Novara, which stop only twice and take only 20 minutes to get to Saronno. Other trains take about 30 minutes (cost € 2.75). There is no need to take the Malpensa Express to Saronno, it costs more and only takes 2 minutes less.

From Milano Centrale Station:
Trains to Saronno are less frequent (every 30 minutes) you can either take a local train (€2.75) or the Malpensa Express (approx. € 5). You can also take the subway (green line 2: 5 stops)) to Milano Cadorna Station, and from there hop on one of the frequent trains to Saronno.

From the Saronno train station (see map below, 5 minutes walk):
Take the back exit of the underpass (close to track 6) and turn slightly left across the parking lot in via Luini. At the end of the short street, turn right in the new street with small trees: via Ferrari. After 200m, turn left in via Legnanino, then at the roundabout go straight in via Giuliani for 250m. At the Y junction (next roundabout), walk left in via Sampietro, and after 100m on the left there is an entrance, without gate, where you can see the hostel: a new red building. The address is Via Sampietro 22.

For trains schedule from Malpensa see - type from MALPENSA AEROPORTO, to SARONNO; when it will prompt you to choose a station in Saronno choose Saronno instead of Saronno Sud.
For trains schedule from Milan see - type from MILANO N.CADORNA if you are leaving from the downtown station of Cadorna or type from MILANO CENTRALE if you are leaving from the Central Station, to SARONNO; when it will prompt you to choose a station in Saronno choose Saronno instead of Saronno Sud), do not take from Milano Centrale trains where you have to change. From Milano Centrale there is one direct train to Saronno every hour, if this is not convenient, take the subway green line 2 (€ 1.50) direction Assago or Abbiategrasso, either train is good, and get down at CADORNA FN, which is the 5th stop, about 12 minutes by subway. From Cadorna there is a train to Saronno approximately every 6 to 8 minutes and it takes from 18 to 22 minutes (€ 2.75) we don't recommend to take the Malpensa Express to Saronno because it will cost € 4.10 for just 4 minutes less.

By car:
From the A9 exit 'Saronno', at the first roundabout take the first right into via Europa, then at the second roundabout (with an old steam locomotive in the middle) take the third exit (left) to via Novara. After 700m, take the first exit (right) at the roundabout, into via Varese, at the next roundabout take the first exit (right) into via Giuliani. Go straight on for 250m, then at the roundabout at the Y junction, take the second exit (left) into via Sampietro, and after 100m on the left there is an entrance, where you can see the hostel, new red building. You can park right outside the hostel.

The GPS address is SARONNO, Via Sampietro 22, or Via Padre Sampietro 22, or for extreme precision Via Padre Luigi Sampietro 22 (whatever your GPS software takes).
