Tirano site is set in Northern Italy just 2 km from Switzerland. It 'a major tourist center and a meeting place of different means of communication: it is located at the intersection of State Road n. 38 (so-called 'State of the Stelvio') and the road that leads to the Bernina Pass and the Engadine and is also the terminus of the railway lines Tirano-Milan (Ferrovie dello Stato) and Sankt Moritz-Tirano (Rhaetian Railway).
