A&O has this weird policy of charging for sheets and bed linen, but then puts TV in every room, which is pretty useless in a shared dorm. Facilities are very clean, mattresses less. Obvious reason is that many people don't pay for sheets.

Not friendly or social, no nice common area, felt like a hotel, not super clean, have to pay for sheets, close to the train station so easy to get places but not really a great spot to walk around, always big line for reception and no one working at the bar. Fine for a night but wouldn’t recommend esp for solo travelers

The building is very big and it must not be easy to keep it consistently clean, staff look always extremely busy because of the high number of clients. I would expect higher standards both in common areas and shared rooms. Rooms on the first floor are constantly exposed to cars noise coming from the adjacent highway. It's a cheap stay solution compared to those available in Venice City. The building is new.

I would really repeat the experience. Clean rooms, good location and good treatment by the staff. I liked it very much and I recommend it.

The inside atmosphere is that of a very big and busy hotel where everyone minds their own business, so the facility doesn't help creating any point of social contact with other guests and with staff, unlike in proper hostels. Apart from that, all is new and the place is very close to main transport.

Compared to other solutions, this hostel was very cheap. It is new and a 300 metres walk to the railway station, which is ideal if you basically are in Mestre to visit Venice. It is huge and rather aseptic, so you will hardly find any cosy atmosphere. Clean, but found remainings of pizza and a dirty table in my room as soon as after checking in, when it was supposed to be clean. Cleaners must have thought someone wanted to still eat it, but not nice to find there. Overall a positive experience

I really liked the hostel it was clean and neat, tho they need to wipe some dirt down from the furnitures.

Not for everybody!

I was here in August, so it was the hardest time for Venice. The hostel is ok. Very modern. It is near Mestre Station and there are a lot of people around, so you don’t feel lonely. But that is also the problem: it is not a quiet place - also not in nights. It is different to staying in Venice, although Venice has a good nightlife, but with more stil and better music. But the price was good - stayed in a female dorm - 1,50€ for oneway trip to Venice and there are buses all the night.

So if you don’t need typical Venecian Nights, and if you like to meet sometimes great sometimes boring people, come and stay here in a dorm!

Property well located and very clean. Supermarket very close. Problems: Front desk and bar understaffed (very long check-in waits); walls are thin; breakfast is expensive. Probably a better option than staying in Old Venice.
