Basic rooms but comfortable and clean. Good location - 2 min. to the waterbus Arsenale - 4 min. Biennial entrance / Arsenale - 15 min. San Marco. Thin windows - you can hear every word from outside. The breakfast was of no use (but obviously must be so in Italy?).

The place is fairly bare bones, but it's clean, in a fantastic location, and Alex is incredibly friendly and helpful. A great deal for the price.

The host Alex is super friendly. The house and the rooms are quite dark. At night it was a bit loud because people were walking in the narrow alley. Value is OK.

This is the place to stay in Venice! The location is perfect, very central with only 2 minutes to the waterbus stop Arsenale and 5-10 minutes away from Piazza San Marco, yet in a quiet and beautiful setting. Very nice and charming accomodation, the bed is very comfortable. Great value for the price. And the owner Alex is the nicest host you can imagine! Highly recommended!

It was a very nice hostel in venice. In that price, it was the most central one. Breakfast was so lovely - without limitation. Nice place for couples.

Perfect location in small street - nesr main atractions an busboat-stop. Clean. Alex the owner buy eveything you need for a good breakfast - also wonderful coffee/breakfast place just around the corner. Perfect place if you don't plan to spend your venice holiday in a room.

What a pleasant surprise! A nice old Venetian house with oak beams in the ceiling. Just what I was looking for. The area is quiet and picturesque, filled with nice restaurants and shops, still very central and close to St' Mark's Square. What a gem....... and what a price! Half of what I am normally paying in Venice. The bed was very comfortable, nice cool sheets, and what a huge towel. Breakfast in Italy is normally very minimal, just coffee and croissants, but here the choice is much better, with cereal, fresh milk, cream cheese, big selection of jams, toasted bread, butter, juice and so on. The rest of the day you can just help yourself to free coffee and tea. The owner, Alex, is the perfect host. He speaks English very well and goes out of his way to help you in any way. He will make sure that you have all that you need. He also spoils you occasionally with free stuff in the fridge, like delicious cakes and fresh fruit from the local market. I am visiting Venice quite often and I will always stay at this charming Venetian house, Ca' della Pietá, because you get the feeling of living with the local people, yet only 50 meters away you are right in the tourist area.

cosy little hostel in a traditional Venetian building within easy walking distance to the touristic centres of Rialto and San Marco. (+++) for breakfast and fridge, free wifi and the landlord Alessandro! :)

Nice place for one night. Not too far to the centre. It was just ok!
