Kumoji-So is only 3 blocks from Kokusai Street called 'Miracle Mile' by the locals because it was the first place rebuilt by Americans after the war. Now it is a trendy place bustling with people, street vendors great for shopping, restaurants, cafes and nightlife. 2 blocks and you will find yourself at the Kencho monorail station, from there it is a short trip to Shuri castle, a World Heritage Site and a must see attraction when visiting Okinawa. Tomari Port is also walking distance, once there you can catch a boat to one of the less inhabited outer islands for a day trip.
