Description

Tamana Hostel opened in October 2018 by three friends who lived in Madagascar, two of which did the Peace Corps there. The mission of Tamana Hostel is to fun an eco-friendly, sustainable hostel with goals of responsible tourism.
The building was an old colonial building that has been renovated and decked out with upcycled furniture and a funky atmosphere.

Tamana has two dorms rooms with triple and double bunks. Each bunk is complete with a mosquito net, individual fan, light, lockbox, outlet, and towel. One family room is available that has a double bed and three single beds (bunkbed style) with a private bathroom. Beds have all the comforts you could ask for. We also have four private rooms with private bathrooms, all have balconies with great views and comfortable seating. Every room in Tamana has access to free wifi in the room, breakfast

The rooftop bar is an awesome place for guests to hang out and relax as well as the common room which is fully equipped with board games, a library, and comfortable seating. Wifi is available for free all over the hostel and breakfast is included for guests.

We are located in the heart of downtown Hellville within easy walking distance of everything you could need. It's the ideal place to call home base as you explore all that Nosy Be has to offer. The local market and supermarket are less than a block away and there are plenty of restaurants to choose from nearby. We are about 3 minutes from the Hellville port and 15 minutes from the airport and are happy to set up a transfer to anywhere on the island. Excursions and island trips can be organized.

Tamana has a fresh and energetic vibe that is reflected in the decor and the attitude of the staff, who are always there to help or joke around with. You will quickly feel at home in the laid back and comfortable atmosphere.
They aim to be a model for eco and sustainable tourism in Madagascar. The environment of the hostel is fun, laid back, and very clean and comfortable.
