About us
Maki Lodge is a pretty little inn located at Ampangorina village on Nosy Komba island, made of five bungalows on a rock overseeing the sea, on the Northern shore of the island, in front of Lokobe park reserve. Our hotel is made of traditional stuff, built carved granit stones and typically decorated, settled in a most exquisite environment.

We are only using natural and renewable resources:
solar energy for water heating and water from springs.

Accommodation
The Maki Lodge has five seaview bungalows with a breathtaking overview on Lokobe islets and park reserve at Nosy Be and the Eastern coast of Nosy Komba island.

Rooms have single or double canopy beds and a little private terrace, equipped with shower and safe. Also available is 220volt power, mobile phone coverage and internet access in the restaurant.

Services and activities
Maki Lodge 40 seats' restaurant offers a panoramic view over the ocean.
Our chef will cook typical dishes from Madagascar made of fresh products, seafood, pizzas and most flavored creole recipes. An international wine list is also available for your delight.
The menu is made of an appetizer followed by two main courses (grilled crayfish, sticks of prawns, stuffed squid, creole style crab), a dessert and coffee, all served in a sweet ambiance.

Surroundings
Apart from the visit to the Maki park, which is a must, you will have the opportunity to do some shopping in the village of Ampangorina, where a lot of curios and handicrafts are for sale.
Other activities include sailing around Nosy Comba or to nearby islands and –for the fittest- hiking with a local guide and botanist, 70-year old Madame Yvonne, who will make you discover quaint villages in the mountains.
