About us
Hostal Ulap Yasica is a family run eco-lodge located in the outskirts of Matagalpa City, a mountainous area where you can hike to nature reserves, rain forests, coffee plantations, rivers, waterfalls, indigenous communities and farms.

The hostal was created remodeling an old warehouse, building the rooms in its interior and integrating the metallic structure with pinewood to create a homely and fresh ambience. The project was conceived considering a low environmental impact.

Accommodation
Hostal Ulap Yasica has 4 dorm rooms and 4 private rooms. Each dorm has 2 bunk beds with comfortable mattresses and the room is provided with a fan and lockers. For these accommodation is avaliable a wide shared bathroom that has hot water showers, sinks & toilets.

The private room are provided with fans, bathrooms with hot water, and comfortable double & single bed mattresses.

The illumination of all the rooms is provided by a solar energy system and toilets work with rainwater.

Services and activities
In the hostel guests can make use of the different common areas that have couches and tables: living room, lounge with tv, hallways, garden, restaurant, etc. There is wifi signal in all the spaces, including the rooms.

Some of the services we offer: Self-service bar, restaurant, free coffee, free internet, free phone calls to the US & Canada, laundry, kitchen, shuttle, etc.

Surroundings
Explore Matagalpa and learn about the agricultural activities that take place in the countryside of Nicaragua, including the coffee and cocoa process, and know great part of the history of the country and all the natural diversity that it offers.

Here you can find coffee shops, museums, restaurants, cultural activities, handicrafts, bars, spanish schools, supermarkets, pharmacies, gas stations, banks and more places of interest, without mentioning the incredible and loving people of Matagalpa.
