No free parking and nötig optimal designed bathroom. Staff is really friendly and the lobby is nice

No linen included (50 NOK per stay), no sleeping bags allowed; Hobs in the dorms, kitchenware available downstairs at reception; Hostel is not that well located: area with a lot of beggars and (my impression) a drug problem but quite central though

Nice hostel, close to the railway station with good value concerning rooms and beds. Very friendly staff and bar to socialize downstairs :)

Great location near the train station but unfortunately not much else. There were no lockers in the room, not enough plugs for more than a few people to plugs in phones/cameras, and disrespectful people in the rooms (playing music til all hours regardless of the people trying to sleep in the room and I actually had boxers thrown on me because the person didn't look to see that someone was in the bed). Wouldn't stay here again unless in a pinch.

The dorm size is great but the room is quite hot without a fan. Need more power points in the room. The front room is very noisy from traffic and local people. The shower room is hot and not airy so after shower you will sweat like you are out of sauna. Fan is needed in the shower room too. The staff are friendly and helpful. However, the room is clean. The hostel is located near the city center. You can access buses and tram from the front of the hostel. That's what I like the most.

Nice hostel, nothing special, good price for what it is. Close to the center. We had wc in the 8 people dorm, and kitchen and mini-fridge, but no pans...

All across the board an unremarkable hostel. The price is good considering Oslo, but the common room is small and there are small extras that can pop up. If you can spend the money to upgrade elsewhere.

The hostel is great! In my room there was a little kitchen. The only problem is the price, but this problem belong to Oslo. I really recomendo.

Very conveniently located hostel, within walk to Central Railway Station. Option of renting kitchen - great idea. Rooms warm, clean, hot water available non-stop. I recommend it.

The hostel itself is quite nice, actually one of the best i have ever seen. Unfortunately when we arrived the room was not clean at all. It was empty of people but there were bottles, empties, rubbish everywhere; the bathroom was dirty. The only explaination was that " it was forgotten to clean it". As we listened to other people having the same problem i would say that it wasn't an unique accident but it is quite the normality. i reckon that this is unbelievable. Try to solve this problem.

The cheapest option in Oslo and it's really close to the city center (5 min by walking). Lobby is the only place to meet people but wifi connection is not excellent.

I don't get why you have to pay for the bedsheets and you are not allowed to use sleeping bag. In this case I would like to chose my comfort rather than be forced

to rent sheet for my bed in a the expensive Oslo.

Anker Hostel is a good place in the city center with bus and tram and train near. The room was very clean and without noise, perfect.

Quite nice, placed 10 minute walk from Central Bus/Train Station, rooms cleaned every day, big minus- no kitchen accessories in room - have to rent big boxes.

Good location, easy to go to the city center and the tram is next by. The key card to the room makes it a safe place to stay. Bathroom in the room was OK, but always wet and dirty because of the shower.

There is only a lobby area, no really common room which has a boring atmosphere. So it's difficult to make contacts there. The rooms have no lookers, but there are some small ones in the lobby (laptop size). Breakfast is really easy, but ok prize for Norway I think.

I can easily recommend Anker Hostel.

WE booked a private twin room but we got an 8 bed dorm which consisted of 4 bunks. Although we had the dorm to ourselves it was not what we booked and the rooms looked nothing like the pics on their website. We paid €79 per night which was ridiculously expensive for a hostel but everything in Oslo was overly expensive. Location was ok, not a great area of the city but only 10 minutes from bus station and 20 minutes from city centre.

The stay was pleasant, however, it was not because of the hostel. There wasn't a large common area, the members of staff were not very friendly (except for Josh- he was very nice), and it was probably the most boring hostel of all of the hostels I have been to. It is located in a great area and I met some wonderful people in my room. This is a good hostel if you don't intend to interact with anyone and appreciate solitude.

The Anker Hostel is a quite nice place to stay in Oslo. Lacation is good, staff communicate in many languages (english, french, polish, german) but isn't interested to help you on their own inititive. Prices are very high, but they are high in whole Norway. You can't have your own sleeping bag (have to take your own linen or buy it in a hostel - 25NOR/person) but it's also normal in Oslo's hostels. Rooms are clean and the bathroom is small (in every room).

It's in good location, staff were nice and had free wifi in the lounge, but the room was quite dirty, linnens and pillows were also very dirty and the room had a bad smell. I think it was very expensive for what it offers.

too big.. it's a bedbunker, no charme at all, people aren't that helpful... wouldn't have gotten my keydeposit back if i had't asked specifically. gotta pay for linen and for this price no breakfest included. :/

the income at my arrival was really chaotic. Thereby the staff was really unfriendly. Instead of answering questions, they were buzzy with different people at the same time. The staff in the daytime offered more quality.

VERY clean hostel, nice beds and friendly staff. to get to the city center, you have to walk trough a district that i would not recommend for a single woman and maybe also not for a single men, but for two guys its OK. unforuntately, the people staying @ the hostel where not very into party, just hanging lazy in the lobby.. :D

be aware, high pickpocket area!

My stay in the Anker hostel was very plesant, except one thing - people of different sexes in one and the same dormitory do not feel so easy as they would feel withot the presence of other sex.

I cann not judge about fun factor, because I never look for fun in hostels.

Thank you nad good luck!
