Welcome to 'Old Salty Stone,' (Stari Slankamen) a quaint, historic, spa village nestled between Novi Sad and Belgrade, right on the River Danube. Perfect place to detox after the Exit! Irish trained Acupuncturist available on request, at local rates!!
This ancient village on the River Danube with natural, thermal springs is
the perfect place to unwind in a tranquil setting, with the most amazing views across this great body of water.
We have an ample supply of freshly picked seasonal fruits FREE for you from our garden eg. cherries, pears, figs, apples, peaches, nectarines, apricots, grapes.....to tantalize your taste buds!

This bustling, quaint little village has a host of fish restaurants along the riverside to choose from. In Summer patrons flow out onto the terraces to drink the sunset down, listen to the music and belt out the old Serbian favorites, once the slivovitz (plum brandy) has worked its magic!
Your hostel, a stone throw from the bus terminal in the centre, is right on the banks of the river. Not far to go if you feel like a dip. Or for a bit of adventure, hire a kayak and go off exploring for the day, all at your own pace.
This characteristic village is perfect for an evening stroll to enjoy the sunset with many panoramic viewpoints, remember ….the higher you go the bigger the rewards!
The river is plentiful with a variety of fish, so if you’re up for a bit of fishing, we’ll have the barbie all fired up, with anticipation!
