Balcon de Competa ***

Directions (how to arrive at the hostel):

The journey is about 50 km from the Airport to the Hotel.
Once out of the airport go straight over the roundabout and take the left lane. This will take you past the ‘San Miguel’ brewery and in this lane you will go over an elevated section sign posted ‘MALAGA’.
Follow the right hand curve round and pass under the same section. You are now on the main N340 Autovia.
Continue along this road for approximately 2 km in the inside lane. Ignore the first main fork right. The second fork has signs above the outside lanes, saying ‘CENTRO’, while the inside lane bears off to the right and is sign posted ‘MOTRIL’ , take this one. You go over an elevated section and come back under yourself.
Here there are four lanes. Move into the second lane from the right.
Continue in this lane passing under a short tunnel. From here stay on the Autovia N340 to ‘MOTRIL’ , ignoring the various side turnings.
Continue on the A-7 / N340 past the Velez-Malaga exit and go off the autovia at the next exit to ‘ALGARROBO COSTA - CALETA DE VELEZ’.
At the first roundabout take the third turning off and go straight over the next roundabout to CÓMPETA. Stay on this road through Algarrobo and Sayalonga.
About a kilometre before you reach Cómpeta you will pass a the petrol station on the right hand side.
Once you arrive in Cómpeta drive down into the village and where the road splits, take the right hand fork up.You will pass the main car park on your left. Then turn left at the Y-junction and follow the signs to “Ermita de San Anton”.
