About us
EcoIstHan is a network of various projects,also offering new hostel of a good quality for only 14 euros/night.4 floors include:4 dorm rooms;4-5 WC,Wi-FI;common room & library,kitchen & dining area,cafe-gift shop;spacious roof-top terrace;security cameras;fire-extinguishers; & a friendly & great team: manager Armano, and his assistant Sarah, and 3-4 other friendly staff changing shifts.

Accommodation
EcoIstHan has 4 dormitory rooms & 4 showers.Total of 26 beds.Guests are provided with own keys to the room & lockers.Each room includes 5-8 beds with own lighting,electric sockets,bedding & towels (changed wkly),hair-dryers,AC/heating,fridges,lockers,& mirrors.Guide info on local current events & activities.Networking & business opportunities.

Services and activities
Common big fully equipped kitchen and dining area;
Book exchange in common library and lounge area;
Roof-top terrace (open air) also a place to eat, to drink, to meet,to enjoy good company of others!

Surroundings
EcoIstHan is just a few steps away from the historic Galata Tower of Galata (Karakoy) district. Near Beyoglu (Pera) to the north with its main thoroughfare, the pedestrianized Istiklal Str., & the adjoining Taksim Square (main metro connection) is north of Sultanahmet/Old City, across the Golden Horn. This district, especially Taksim Square is considered the “city center” of Istanbul.Primarily visited for its nightlife,bohemian vibe,& myriads of restaurants & bars with various entertainment.

Liability
Unless negligence by the Company is proved, the company will not be held liable for injury to person, or damage to any property of any Customer or person staying/visiting the hostel and or its general facilities and area.
General
1. The hostel shall not permit the use of its facilities for any purpose other than that stated in the original booking correspondence; unless written consent is obtained prior to the event.
2. Although the hostel has endeavoured to insure all information in its advertising material is correct at the time of printing, it reserves all rights to alter, substitute or withdraw any service, facility or amenity at any time, without notice if necessary.
3. This agreement is subject to Turkish Law.
4. The Customer accepts that the EcoIstHan Hostel employees can have unrestricted right of access at all times to any and all rooms and agrees to comply with the following:
a. The Customer accepts full responsibility for all of the Customer's visitors in or about the hostel and its general facilities and area. Any damage to the room and the hostel's fixtures, fittings and furnishings will be the responsibility of the Customer and will be charged accordingly.
b. We are a NON SMOKING hostel and an additional 100.00 USD will be added to the bill if the Customer is found to be smoking. In line with the Turkish non-smoking regulations, we have the right to ask any Customer who is found smoking on the hostel's premises to leave the hostel.
c. Room and locker keys must be left at reception upon departure; if they are lost the Customer will be charged 20.00 USD.
d. The Customer agrees not to use or store articles or liquids that are dangerous, noxious, inflammable, explosive or which may give a risk to health or fire risk and agrees to observe all normal and reasonable precautions for security of the room and also for the hostel in general.

5. Customers are respectfully reminded that accounts are due for payment immediately upon presentation. The hostel reserves the right to pre-authorise credit cards prior to arrival.
6. The Customer, by confirming a booking with the EcoIstHan Hostel accepts these terms and conditions in full, without exception and/or variation, unless any such variation is agreed between the Customer and the Company and duly signed by the Customer and an authorised signatory of the EcoIstHan Hostel.
