About us
This project was established when after working in the federal government for some time I needed a change and decided to move to sunny LA from my home state Washington, DC. When I arrived here I realized that it was so many people from all over the world but people stayed in their parts of town; not like on the east coast where we melt the pots..lol. So I was introduced to international community living. I really loved that. I decided that I want to create my own - Nina's Place!
Accommodation
Inside my home, there is (1) male room that sleep 5; (1) female room that sleep 5; and (1) co-ed room that sleep 4. Each room has a combination of bunk beds and single beds. Each room has dressers, cabinets and shelves that are available for guest to use. Each guest are provided clean fresh linen; and a bath towel. Toiletries are also provided in the bathroom for use. We also have heater, fans, and personal reading lights.
Services and activities
We have many common areas for guests. There is a quiet area where guests can use a computer. We do have a fax, copy/print service. We also have a full kitchen and an eating dining area where guest can socialize. We have a large backyard where guest can BBQ. We have a garden where guest can eat from and plant some for future guest. We are always hosting a game night and movie night in the community room. We also offer tickets to become an audience member to some of CBS newest sitcoms of the seaso
Surroundings
Located in a historic neighbourhood, my home was built in the 1920s and the neighbourhood used to be home of some great American musicians such as Ray Charles; who still has a recording studio nearby. Now is only 15 min drive from Venice Beach, Hollywood Blvd, and downtown LA; it a melting pot of all types of people. We have a grocery store and many fast food shops nearby, some which stay open 24hrs.
