Fantastic position, walk to everything downtown. Friendly, helpful staff. Good amenities. Great value. Allow for the many taxes on top of the bse room rate.

Great location, close to all the action downtown and on Beale St. and the Mississippi river, although the surrounding block is a little seedy at night, so it may be worth paying the cab fair home. The staff are quite rude once they realise you are staying in the 'hostel' (there are 2 dorm rooms as part of a larger motel) but other than that have been ok, basically it's what you expect from a cheap place.worth staying in just for the location

why we still need to pay the total fee after we paid the deposit online

Very nice motel/hostel, special the location, very near to Beale Street and deep at night go back to the room, it is a short walk, and not dangerous, because there were lots of police on the streets.

The rooms are clean, and we are satisfied.

Good location, cheap option for staying at the center of Memphis. Sadfully we got both bitten by possibly bedbugs. We couldn't find any mosquitos the day after and were bitten on not regular mosquito like places.

Literally the worst hostel bunk bed I have ever slept on, out of the 40+ hostels I've stayed at.Even just shifting your leg makes them creak and screech. Also, don't go expecting to meet people to do stuff with. Amazing location though, and dirt cheap (for a reason). Would Stay here again if I had to.

They ran out of orange juice for breakfast on one day and there was no more. The dorm was very cramped & it didn't seem like it had been cleaned at all. Location, however, is great - 2 blocks from Beale Street & the Peabody Hotel. I found the receptionist a bit intolerant; although she was very polite, there appeared to be a bit of an undertone.

it's very complicated to book a bed! i was right there wanting to extend my stay and it was not possible to just book at the reception. i still had to do it online and the internet was not working so we had to RING SOMEWHERE ELSE for the booking to be done! also would be great to have maps for tourists and a place to hang around and cook. but happy overall :)

Convenient for a night or two. Would be even more convenient if Greyhound hadn't moved terminal (get Megabus).5 mins to Beale, 10 to sun Records. Room clean if a little tired and basic. Pool ok, breakfast in name only. You get what you pay for.

Mostly the location was great.

Private room I stayed in did not get cleaned while I was there.

Breakfast is downright ridiculous, there's a bag of cereal and coffee and that's it.

Free wifi but I stayed in the "Inn 3" and had no reception in my room, only outside.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in Memphis. It was a wonderful opportunity to visit many places that I have wanted to see for decades. The AAE was a great place to be able to stay for my trip and close to the centre of the city.

No toilet paper. Staff tried to charge me $5 to store my backpack at the hostel. Staff kicked me off the premises after trying to charge me $20 to visit a friend at the hostel after I checked out.

The only bad thing about the hostel is that they only have four beds for backpackers. Otherwise it is great, just around the corner of Beale Street. The owners drive you to wherever you need to go. TV in the room. No laundry. But a swimmingpool.
