Muy bien ubicado, limpio, atención del personal excelente, relacion precio/servicios es la adecuada. El barrio no es tan bonito pero esta cerca de todo caminando y es seguro.

Upon arriving at the hostal, we were told there was a problem with a guest and that we could not stay there. The hostal was next to a very loud bar. Family came to pick us up to stay in their hostal, which was ok. The room was tidy and comfortable, breakfast was super. We had to leave the room though at 11pm (although we arrived very late in the evening) or if we wanted to keep the room longer, we had to pay 5 CUC extra. We were allowed though to change our clothes when leaving for the airport, without extra costs. Hosts were kind, but gave us the impression that all that mattered was the money.

The problem with the guest was a los of passport and inmigration office has the authority to stop leaving to any guest until they find a solution, it does not happen every day but happens and is not rare.So, I tried my best sending you to my brother house who gave you the same price than here and similar conditions and you were inside my family.The check in and out details are in the hostelsclub rules from the house and in my brother house is iqual like in the hotels.Unfortunately you came late but your room was waiting for you all the time in their house.So that I dont understand why 50 in all subjects in the rating because you did not stay in my house to evaluate all the subject iqual.In any way thanks for your rating

Hallo,
wir waren für 4 Nächte in diesem Casa und es hat uns super gefallen. Die Vermieter waren sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und gut organisiert. Das Frühstück war gut, Obst, Brötchen, Wurst, Käse Kaffee Tee und Saft.
Zum Zentrum ist zwar ein kleiner Fußmarsch (20 Minuten) notwendig. Aber es kann auch ein Taxi genommen werden, diese stehen an jeder Ecke (Ob Auto oder Fahrradtaxi) Zwischen 3 bis 8 CUC, mit ein bisschen verhandeln kann man dort einen guten Preis bekommen.
Wir würden das Casa weiterempfehlen. :-)

Highly Recommended. The Casa Novo house was our first and last stop our my visit to Cuba. The owner speaks great English and was very helpful and great resource especially as we were first time visitor. Both rooms we used were comfortable and our belongings felt very secure. It is an a perfect location, 20-30 minutes walk to the heart of either the Vedado or Old Havana districts and 5 minutes from the boardwalk. There are plenty of nearby options for food and at least two extremely nice restaurants within a block's distance(We had our finest meal in Cuba at 'La Concordia' which is just down the street). My only complaint is that the optional breakfast was not as good as the ones offered at other casas we stayed at. Regardless, if i return to Cuba I will make sure to reserve at room here.

Gelegen in centraal Havana, prijs/kwaliteit zeker goed. Wel weinig licht in de kamer. Matrassen niet top. Wel groot dakterras met hangmat.

Nicolas was a very friendly host, who also helped us out with many important information and tips on Havana. His speaking English was also very helpful to us, since we only speak 'vacation Spanish' lol. The neighbourhood is very safe and the Malecon is right around the corner which we walked along at sunset. Breakfast was the best we had in Cuba - try the homemade jam! Nicolas even organized a reliable taxi driver for us to pick us up at the airport. We 100% recommend casa Novo Guest House!

旧市街から歩いて行けるところにありました。雑然とした場所なので好き嫌いがあるかと思います。オーナーのおじいちゃんが色々と説明してくれます。Casaの中はきれいにしてあり、お湯も出てよかったですが、同時期に泊まっていた人が夜中に大騒ぎして眠れなかったのが残念でした。

This hostel was just fine for our stay in Havana, with a great roof terrace. Nothing special though compared with the other houses we stayed at in Cuba. The location is not the best, although the center is a good place to see some of the real local life in Havana. Most of the interesting sites are in Havana Vieja and Vedado.

Casa Novo is the perfect location if you want to enjoy the real Habana: positioned in the middle of downtown, it's minutes walking to the Malecon, to the Barrio Chino, to the Capitolio and old Habana. It's very close to nice paladares/restaurants and from the roof you can experience the fascinating view of the city.
Alberto was always available for questions and suggestions, and we had laugh, too.

Wir haben uns nicht wohl gefühlt. Zum einen hatten wir ein sehr kleines Zimmer ohne Fenster, auch wenn wir nach 2 Nächten in ein größeres umziehen konnten, dafür mussten wir auf warmes Wasser verzichten. Zudem war die Umgebung der Casa schmutzig durch Müll verschmutzt und es es hat Ekel erregend gestunken. Wir würden die Casa nicht empfehlen, trotz der Nähe zur Altstadt.

I am sorry for that,we apologize a lot.Unfortunately me the owner (Nicolas)I was outside the country and a man with experience was in charge and I left your booking in the room 1, the biggest one with windows and we have 2 gas heaters working 24 hours,I hope you told him you had not hot water, if after that he did not heat the water is a problem.We will remove him from the job for sure.About the place it is really dirty but all the center is like that, it is written in the guides you have is for that is cheaper than Vedado or miramar or the old town with the advantage of going walking to anywhere.Here is the center of the poorest area of havana and I repeat is written in the guides.In any way I tell you again I apologiza for what happened with the room ;we have a schadule where is written every booking in each room and we gave to the administrator

Thanks for your review you have had the biggest room in the house .In the night there is not noice of construction,it is true that during the day the city is noisy and sometimes you can hear noice of building .About the way to your room is a wide stair with lights in several places that in any case you could request for the light even in your room you had a light for the entrance and the entrance of your room was a big terrace.From now on we will explain to the guests on arrival where the lights are to be able to do by yourself.We hope in the future you come back and we will be sure you will enjoy more because you were here for only one night.Best wishes

I enjoyed staying at casa novo very much. Spend close to 14 days there. Close to everything you want to see in the city. The owner's Nicolas and his wife are both wary nice people and speak fine English. Some city noise but It's Havana! Same same everywhere! :-)

Die Unterkunft ist ganz nett, vorallem die Dachterasse ist gut zum entspannen.
Was mich allerdings erschreckt hat: Das Ehepaar hält ein Schäferhund auf weniger als 5qm auf dieser Dachterasse. Er vegetiert bei teilweise 40 Grand dort in seinen eigenen Exkrementen vor sich hin.
Alle Tierfreunde sollten daher einen großen Bogen um diese Unterkunft machen

Lamentamos no haberla conocido pues cuando se hospedó en nuestra casa estábamos fuera del país por una operacion que sufrió nuestro nieto y que gracias a Dios salió bien; en ese tiempo se quedó al frente de la casa el Sr. Alberto quien estaba a cargo de la perra también.Nosotros mantenemos a la perra pues es nuestro guardián en las noches y también los cuida a ustedes pero lamentablemente hay muchos huéspedes que le tienen miedo a los perros y esto nos obliga a tenerla encerrada durante el día en la casa con techo y agua permanente que le construimos especialmente para ella y donde a diario se le da el alimento en vasijalimpia.El excremento se le limpia a diario.Lamentamos que sin conocernos le haya quitado tantos puntos al staff.La posición de la casa fue la que usted escogió pues está bien descrita para buscarlo en el mapa, es el lugar más barato poero también más pobre de la ciudad.Nosotros no maltratamos a los animales pero tampoco queremos que estos los maltraten a ustedes si les tienen miedo, esa perrita tiene sus vacunas, veterinario que la atiende y la atiendo personalmenmte adiario.Saludos

Casa novo liegt in Centro Habana - sowohl die Altstadt als auch Varadero sind zu Fuss zu erreichen (oder mit Bicitaxi). Die Lage ist optimal, wenn man beide Stadtteile gleichermassen besuchen möchte. Der Vermieter ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit, gibt Tipps - sowohl für Habana als auch für Ausflüge oder andere Orte und ist bei der Vermittlung von Unterkünften behilflich. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig (Brötchen, Butter, Käse, Wurst, Ei, Marmelade, frisches Obst und frischgepresste Obstsäfte, Kaffee, Tee, Milch). Transport und Organisation von Sprach- und Tanzunterricht klappten reibungslos. Ein herzliches Dankeschön!

You tolgd me that everything was fine in the room and you liked it but I dont forget that you have used internet in my house and you refuse to pay and even knowing the price you accepted and later you did not pay telling was very slow but I can show every body you were using it slow but succesfully, so, I am sorry and it is very sad to me saying this but you have stolen in my house refusing paying what you bought when your wife or girlfriend accepted the price , you are not welcome any more in my house and it was only 4 cuc per hour

This Casa Particular is very well renovated and furnished - just beautiful! The owners are very nice and helpful. Regarding the position it is about a 15 minutes walk to Habana Vieja.

When we arrive to casa we felt immediately like a home.Very close to everywhere,few steps from Parque Central and Vieja.It's very safe place to be.From our almost month stay on Cuba we were back in casa 3 times,no problem with leaving ours luggage there.Nicolas and Rosaura are very helpful in case you need it.Lovely housekeeper Myrtha.

Staying with Nicolas and his family was a pleasure. His English is perfect and he helped with any idea e.g. a take-away breakfast.
If "fun" means clubs and touristic bars, the area is the wrong choice, but it's in walking distance to the main tourist points in H. Centro and H. Vieja. I enjoyed the stay! Thanks Nicolas and family! :-) Nathalie

The best place to start out your trip on Cuba - meaning that you will get some very useful information + if you ask for it you will get a list with contacts from all over Cuba so that you don't have to waste time at any bad place! And I just have to mention the hosts - They do a brilliant job with there chill'd out way of being!

Nicolas und seine Frau Rosy geben sich grosse Muehe, den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zugestalten. Sehr nette Leute. Concordia 406 liegt ideal, um Havanna Centro und Vieja zu Fuss zu erkunden. Ein paar Haeuser weiter ist die viel fotografierte Nr. 318 'La Guarida' (u.a. von Robert Polidori), wo auch 'Erdbeer und Schokolade' gedreht wurde. Die Raeume sind sauber, die Ausstattung mit alten Moebeln ist einfach und zweckmaessig und entspricht dem Zustand des Hauses. Fazit: Wir kommen wieder.

Nicholas and Rose are amazing. As soon as we got there, they gave us all information we needed to know to feel safe and to understand the Cuban culture. Furthermore, when my friend's baggage was extraviated they gave her all the support calling the company many times until the baggage got found.

Nicolas' family were lovely and were very welcoming. He gave us the details of a lovely family to stay with in Baracoa and it was shame we did not stay with the rest of his friends in other places. His place is slightly more expensive than some other casa particulares but there was a fridge with big bottles of water stocked which was so useful considering water is not on every street corner. 10 min walk to the Capitolio - 30 mins to Plaza Vieja.

The Casa Particular was perfect! Just ten minutes of beautiful walk from plaza central, between vedado and habana vieja. And we really enjoyed Nicolas and his wife, the owners of the casa. they gave us lots of information and helped us in finding new accommodations in Trinidad and in the same Habana (the last day of the vacation when we came back from Trinidad). For a few bucks (3 and 8 CUCs) they also can prepare you a good breakfast and a wonderful dinner. Both speak a good english! Thanx again, my friends... Hope to see you as soon as possible!!
