As we have done before with Belgrade, we’re bringing to you a mini-guide, this time for you to continue to enjoy the marvels of Cuba, because we know that after knowing the 5 things you can’t miss of Trinidad, you won’t want left the country that fast.

Today we want to do a quick travel around the most popular cities in Cuba nowadays: Havana, Baracoa, Matanzas, Santa Clara and Trinidad. Pack your suitcases because we’re leaving now!

HAVANA

The capital of the Republic of Cuba has a lot to offer. Is the biggest and most populated Cuban city, its main port, its economic and cultural center and its main touristic destination. Also, its historic center was declared World Heritage by the UNESCO in 1982. Don’t miss its Cathedral, the Plaza de Armas, the Castillo de Morro… and, of course, its famous Malecón.

BARACOA

Known with the name of Primeval City, it’s located in the Guantánamo province. You can’t leave the city without tasting its cocoa, its coffee and its coconut, authentic local delicacies! Visit the numerous waterfalls of the river Toa, the mountains of the Yunque and the characteristic "Sleeping Beauty".

CIENFUEGOS

It is located in the peninsula of the Majagua, on the shores of the bay of Jagua, and constitutes the capital of the province that bears the same name. It is known as the Southern Pearl and has the second most important city in the whole Cuba, as well as being the second most important city in the country.

MATANZAS

It is located on the west side of the island and has the main coastal tourist destination of the country: Varadero. SANTA CLARA

It is the capital of Villa Clara and stands out for its tobacco and sugar cane trade. Do not forget to visit the Central University of Las Villas, the Plaza de la Revolución with its own Mausoleum and, above all, the Cayería Norte, one of the favorite destinations for those who visit Cuba.

TRINIDAD

In the center of the country, at the south of the province of Sancti Spíritus, the capital of the municipality of Trinidad is located. It was the third town founded by the Spanish Crown in Cuba. It is one of the best preserved colonial cities in America, thanks to its restoration and conservation work, which earned it the title of World Heritage by UNESCO.
