To get to Paraty by bus, there are 3 main bus companies. The Reunidas Paulista that comes from São Paulo, the Ocean that comes from Guaratinguetá passing through Ubatuba and a Costa Verde that comes from Rio de Janeiro.
Already in Paraty, a cheaper option is the local bus called "Circular" that costs R$ 3,00. Like this bus goes to a previous neighborhood, make sure that it is a way of the neighborhood Jabaquara. It is located at the last bus stop and this route takes around 15 minutes.
Another thing would be to get a taxi on the bus station, this costs R$ 30 and takes about 5 to 7 minutes.
If you are not carring much baggage, you could have a nice walk to the Hostel. The distance from the bus station is 3 km and takes about 25 minutes.
