Almendares Hostal

We stayed there for 3 nights. Beautiful building close to Plaza Revolution and walking distance to Havana Vieja. Nice host, good value for money. Definitely recommend.

There was a lot of noise from the construction work insight the house next to our door and the room was a bit dark and humid.

The owner explained us the ways to the centre, we could leave the baggage before the check in and after check-out, also he organised a taxi to the airport.

But the atmosphere in total was not as warm as in other casas.

It's beautiful place with marble columns, staned glass lamps, crystal chandelier and great terrace. Me and my boyfriend love to sit on terrace with rum and refresca national (tu cola is great!) and look in old Havana. Senior Oscar is great, he can answer all you questions and give you useful advice. When we were out and it's started to rain he get our stuff from terrace inside the house so it won't get wet. Near his place is great cafeteria (papa pedro), shopping center carlos III, you can easily go to old city or get taxi. We simply love it. I really recommend it.

The casa is a 30 min walk from the old part of Havana. The room is only accesible through the house. The room is not expensive, and you'll get value for your money. Breakfast is rather poor, although they only charge 3 cuc.

Lovely high ceilings, great house, Oscar was very helpful on arrival. Slightly out of town but Havana is pretty easy to walk! Close to Revolution square.

A very nice host, Oscar. Location a 7, because the street doesn't give a good first inpression. But after all it was a peacefull street. You can walk to the historical center. A nice old house for a good price! Thanx Oscar!

Oscar is such an amazing person who gave us very useful information about every doubt we had in all our staying. We reccomend this place because his attention, his willingness to help, the price of the room and his tips helped us to enjoy and to be safe in this trip. Defenetely coming back Almendares Hostal again next summer!!!

We had already had a few nights in the old Viejas part of town, so this lovely old house was perfect for getting to the plaza de la revolution

strange feeling , as being watched all the times

Its clean, safe, nice Villa. Little bit faar from Havana centre, but the bus stop, taxi are available.

The owner was very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was good. The room was not clean enough, towels were not changed during our stay. Plumbing was an issue. It felt dark and damp.

Super nice family, good breakfast, quiet - all you need for an awesome stay in the capitol City.

the hostel owner, Oscar is amazing and will help you with everthing u need, is a bit fat from havana vieja, but is much more quiet, so it worth to pay the transportation. And ALWAYS ask if u need use the kitchen!!!

Très belle casa, très propre. Le propriétaire est sympahtique. L'endroit est calme avec plusieurs commodités à proximité. Un peu plus éloigné du centre, mais facilement accessible à pied. Je recommande!

Lovely Staff, very helpful and welcoming. The rooms were clean and the room with the top balcony was great! It was a bit far away from the attractions but if you don't mind walking then I would definitely recommend this Casa.

We enjoyed this place because it was nice to have access to the terrasse and the local life of havana central. There are real people living in this street and it is nice to meet with the cuban away from havana vieja. The accomodation is basic and comfortable enough, take soap with you. it is light and will give you a taster of havanisan's life. Oscar is helpful and will assist you with any queries , but once in the dunjeon you are on your own . The terrasse, the stary nights and the cuban chatting away in the distance ...Great.
