They only spoke Italian and did not understand Spanish or English. However, the room was great, except that instead of 5 beds they had 3 and pull-out couch and trundle bed and the shower was very small and I could not figure out how to change the temperature of the water, so my shower was either freezing cold or boiling hot. Great location though, right by the train station and practically a straight path to the duomo and pontevecchio

it is really very very good, the decoration is like you were living in a samll garden, clean, and comfortable.I thik I will go back.

The hostel very close the train station. The staffs are very friendly, I lost my wallet in Pisa. They offer me a free accommodation, when has no money. I would strong to suggest all of you to live in the hostel.

Great price. Just i didn't like the fact that the private bathroom was located outside the room. Besides that, great location and friendly staff.

This is a really laxed out cool place to vist.

Note that the streets have two lots of numbers and you have to walk at least 200m (but directions are good).

Great place for stay. Our apartment has nice 2rooms,6beds,nice big kitchen with oven,dishes,and WC and balcony can see Duomo. Thank you!

the rooms are nicely furnished, our room (no 5) even had a balcony with view on the dome, the private bathroom is not in the room so it doesn't really make sense to pay extra for a private bathroom, the location is great, parking difficult and expensive (al least 17€ for night, far away from the hostel), nevertheless we would come back

An amazing location, and really nice little hostel. The only downside was the lack of common room, but I still managed to meet some lovely people. The staff are so nice, and the balcony has a view of the duomo. It's close to everything, easy to find, and generally a great place to stay!

The staff was extrememly friendly. The rooms were very clean; the best hostel I stayed so far. I wish there was an elevator to the building. Otherwise strongly recommend this one!!!

a very nice gust house, lovely location and staffs, I really recommend it.

Perfect location with walking distance from central railway station and to other tourist attractions but since the area is now under renovation (June 2008), the entrance is behind scaffolds and a bit hard to find. Be prepared to carry luggages up to 3rd floor with no elevator. Rooms are spacious, clean and in nice settings with view of Duomo! Free internet, microwave and fridge are available. Owners are around only from morning to around 1.30 pm but they are helpful and quite caring.

Very clean, well located, speaks italian/french/english.

Very good overall but the sheets smelled like a wet washcloth and the noise from the restroom and people using the computer kept us up at night.

We actually stayed in a room in another building, in via Guelfa 75, at the Soggiorno Maria Luisa; it is linked to the Locanda Daniel. Rooms were large with ensuite. Communal area to chill, tea, coffee and light food. good value and only 3 rooms there.

Is a very nice place, in a good position and the best is her owner, very kind.

hard to comment on the staff as we saw no-one during the stay,location was very good,we stayed at Soggiorno Maria Luisa which was easy to find,only down side was the towels were too small and had to esk for bath towels and they could have been changed little sooner,fantastic stay would come back and recommend

Ottimo posto molto carino molto pulito e confortevole. vengono messe a disposizione frutta e tè in modo gratuito così da potersi fare uno spuntino. sicuramente consigliato.

very good and safe place; it's very quiet so it's not for fun. I recommend it for cleanliness and position. just 10 minutes to reach the railway station and the city centre. If I will come back to florence I will choose it again

+price,spacious rooms,no curfew,heated rooms,air condition,clean towels,quiet,fridge,microwave oven,use of books.

-no wifi internet (pc was out of order),no tv in big room,no use of elevator(3rd floor!),no kitchen utelsins,damaged flimsy beds

proposition: bild micro kitchen (we missed morning cofee!),install wifi acces point and room redecoration would be advisible...aldough, very plesent memories to your hostel!

Really great place to stay - located just in the center of Florence, very clean and arranged in a cozy way! The hostel staff is so open mindend, warm and absolutely professional! Absolutely the best one I've ever stayed in!

Its really well located, the staff is really nice, its really clean, secure and nice enviroment.

The only bad thing is that there is no lift so if you have heavy luggage you will suffer.

Excelent place, i loved. A great balance between price and quality.

It was really good! Still I can't believe it was hostel not hotel!! The staff was also very kind. I recommend this hostel confidently;-)

Very Clean, Spacious Rooms and Kind Staff. Even though we had to share the bathroom, our room was alrady equipped with two washing basins. No probs!

This hostel was excellent. Great location near train station and easy to find. Owner welcomed us and gave us useful information about Florence. Room was comfortable, clean and had tasteful decor. Internet free in corridor on old computer. Luggage storage unattended. Only problem was that the bathroom marked private for the use of people using the double room was being used by guests paying for the dormitory. Suggest giving a key to the people who pay more for the double room so that it is fairer.

Overall, thoroughly recommended.

Nice location, basic student hotel, free internet on one computer was very nice. Ask for a room with the balcony facing the duomo, not the noisy street side. Thanks for a good stay!

Clean, free internet, nice bathrooms, friendly and helpful management, pretty convenient location. Staying in the co-ed dorm rooms was a fun way to meet new people. Advertised to have A/C but did not work. No common room for socializing or TV but had books in English that guests could borrow for free. Directly across the street from a grocery store.

We had our own room for five persons, quite ok. Good position, not far from the station, and walking distance to the whole city centre in Firenze (very nice city)

The hostel was really nice and clean, had a very cosy feeling, it was perfect for what we were wanting and great location!! (it didn't really have a socialising area, which for this trip didn't worry me in the slightest)

Staff have been very nice suggesting us place where to go to have good breakfast / dinner (the little restaurant few meters down from via nazionale is amazing!! ) and helped us in booking reservations for the uffizi. The position is really convenient, very close to the train station (you can park your car outside florence and take one of the many bus that simply bring you to the station, we parked in via baracca 3 days for FREE) and all the touristic attractions are reachable by foot. It a pity i overheard one of the staff memebers complaining about visitors that don't leave tips.. i wonder what they imagine to receive from people who choose them to save money.... P.s. Florence is EXPENSIVE!! :) byeee

Great hostel,very clean, great location. The woman who runs it is very sweet and helpful. Would totally recommend staying there. Only drawback is if you get there after 1:30 to check in it presents some problems.
