Bed and Breakfast Lady Florence

The location was amazing. A very short walk from the Duomo. When I checked in, the staff was really friendly and took a lot of time to orient me and point out things that I should do. The rooms were basic but fine, although there was a lot of late night and then early morning (5 a.m.) noise, but that's not the hostel's fault. My only complaint about the hostel was that they did not return promptly for their afternoon office hours. I had checked out and left my luggage there, and returned to pick it up in time to catch my train. Despite me getting them to fervently promise to reopen on time, the second shift guy was extremely late. Actually, I don't think he would have come at all if I had not gotten the cell phone number of the first staff member and sent repeated frantic calls and texts. When the guy arrived, he was unapologetic and unsympathetic, and told me I'd be fine for my train. I hurried the whole way to the train station and only barely caught my train. A lot of unnecessary additional stress.

sorry but rooms not comfortable. on reseption no one -menedger always some where and people ringing in bell houres to get inside. rubish taking out one per 2-3 days - so in kitchen was stinging. carpets in bathrooms always nwet and derty. and i did not get any resivs (paper) what i paid money..

Very clean,great location,but you have to carry up all your luggage for 3 really long floors.Very noisy at night because it's by the side of one of the main streets+we had paid for the 5 bed room(also another 2 people we met) but given a 10(yes 10!) bed room but never had more than 6 people in that room.

I was angry that the information on the webpage is false. There is NO breakfast included. Another thing. Guy in reception never knows which bed is free and it happened 3 times with my bed that I or somebody else had to move his stuff.

The place is very nice especially the staff. They are very accommodating and friendly.

I thought that the hostel was in a great location-steps from the Duomo. But it smelled horrible! The second night we came back and people were sleeping in our beds so there were not enough beds for all of us to sleep alone so we had to cram together. We tried to talk to the staff and explain our situation but he offered zero advice when we should have gotten our money back because we didn't have individual beds.

It is really nice hostel, we had a really great time. Yuri =the best :)

It's very clean and the employees are friendly and very helpful. There are a lot of stairs but it's worth it since it's only 2 blocks from the Duomo and about the same from the museum with David. I'd stay there again.

there was a huge but very friendly dog :D i love it and also best dishes and breakfast included.

Lorenzo, the owner of La Maison lives there. He cooks dinner for all the guests, who when I was there, were all 18-22ish. Very delicious too! He is very friendly and knows English (thick accent tho), Italian, and Spanish (and maybe more)! It was a very friendly place, laid back and nice. There is a common room where you can go during the day and at night and meet the people to stay with. The rooms were okay; typical hostel room with 5-6 beds. Lorenzo has two dogs: both are very nice and greet you at the door by sniffing at your feet.

I recommend this place if you are looking for a simple place for a good price and good fun.

Only stayed for one night but Lorenzo was very nice! His dog was so cute, too! La Maison was within walking distance of everything, the uffizi, accademia etc. Definitely recommend for someone staying in Florence.

Cannot say enough about this place. Highly recommended. Owner is super nice and will cook you a homemade dinner and breakfast. It's small and quaint yet still filled with fun travelers.

Very good the staff the fun and everything...It´s a very nice hostel and I´ll recomend it to everyone...it´s very nice place and Fiona is a very good dog...The enviroment is exelent and the food too

Great place for americans to party in. Real close to the city center too.

Great place for young people if they don't mind cigarette smoke and wine.

the best place to stay!

I stayed here at their new location. just minutes from the duomo and an easy walk from SMN train station. The rooms and beds are clean. I payed for breakfast and dinner. It is well worth it to get you through the day if you're on a budget. I would def stay there again. The climb up the stairs is good exercise. the kitchen is very helpful. you can hear some road traffic out the window, but it really isn't that bad at all. It's just enough to let you know there is a road.

I would stay here again for sure.

Awesome hostel to stay in with brilliant staff and great meals. Centrally located makes us want to go back to florence just so we can stay here again - we loved this place - a home away from home.

Weve been travelling for a month and this was the best hostel we went to. So friendly and convenient :) It also helps that there is a puppy there. Not an ideal place for familys but for young travellers it is perfect.

it's a good place for people who are really looking for fun! partying every night, good place to find someone to talk. staff's fun too. one problem, extremely noisy at night coz it's next to the street.

This Bed and Breakfast is an absolute blast! It really has some level of charm that cannot be described. There were days where looking out the balcony at the city was just as lovely as touring it on foot. If you think Florence isn't a party town, give La Maison a try...it just might change your mind.

We had an amazing time. They give free dinner every other night and they take us all out dancing/drinking and fun stuff every night. It's a great hostel with a great vibe. The people are great and definitely one of the highlights of my Florence trip... :)

CRAZY PLACE... if you want to rest, this is not the best place to stay... if you want to meet people and have a great time, this is the place to be. It gets loud at night, but is is a fun place. I will not recommend this place for a family, but yes yes yes for young people. LORENZO is great and he can cook BIG TIME!!!!

a very cool place to crash if you want to have fun and be near center. Don't expect the sheraton for 15 Euros a day... but the guys there are super fun... they even cooked for us... we had a blast.

Very friendly staff and located on a convenient bus route not too far from the main station (20 mins walk). Nicely decorated and generally very clean but the duvets on the beds should have separate covers. Breakfast was adequate but could be a little more generous. All in all though well worth the money for that part of Florence.

Lovely place, great location so close to the historic centre, really friendly people. Only critiscism would be that at night you have to have the window open or be really really hot, and the traffic outside can be rather noisy. But apart from that a lovely good value place to stay - would highly recommend it.

Very friendly and small B&B. I can really recomened it.

We liked the marocco-styled room (other rooms had other nice styles), gives the place a very nice personality. Breakfast and crew were excellent too! The place also welcomes people over 35 years of age, good.

I had a great time at my stay at B&B La Maison. I was greeted with a cold drink after hiking up several flights of stairs to get to the top floor where the B&B is located. Sylvia showed me the sights I should see on a map, how to get there and back and gave me the map. It was so helpful!! I really appreciated the friendliness of the staff in explaining things at the B&B and about Florence. The breakfast was good and a nice surprise I wasn't expecting. I can also say that I made good friends with Salih, who works there. He is great fun and so friendly and helpful. My stay at the B&B and meeting those people definately made my visit to Florence unforgettable and awesome!! My one complaint would be having to drag my luggage up to the top floor as there was no elevator, which is common, I'm sure. All in all, a great place to stay!!

B&B Maison was a great find. It was a good value. It wasn't in the center of the city, but it was a 15 minute walk from Duomo. It was also a 10 minute busride from the train station. The staff were very helpful and the place was clean. They even sat us down when we first got there and told us the best sights, how to get there, where to eat good food at a good price, and even where to take sun. I would absolutely stay there in the future.

Nice hostel with beautiful, clean rooms. Very kind staff. The shower was really bad, only a few drops came out..It's not in the middle of the centre but you can walk it in about 20 minutes. If you want to go to the river it's 35/40 minutes walking, but there's a bus stop across the street which goes to the centre. You have to climb a lot of stairs before you are inside the hostel, but then you have a nice view. We enjoyed staying here.
